Orange Harvest CSSI Harvest-Themed Social!

CSSI General Meeting Feed 8,000,000,000 Volunteer at the 2012 International Conference on Sustainability Science Volunteer Opportunity- Zero Waste at the Phoenix Open Golf Tournament CSSI Internships Orange Harvest January 28th at 1pm at Palo Verde Main Come join us as we hold a Campus Harvest session and help pick the campus oranges! While most are sour, the campus oranges are quite edible given the right recipes and the Harvest program finds good uses for them. CSSI Green Team is helping next Saturday afternoon so come on over! CSSI Harvest-Themed Social! January 28th at 3:30pm leaving from Matthews Center, else email for directions Join us as we use some of the oranges (both sweet and sour) and other campus citrus to make some delicious snacks for an afternoon social! Please let us know if you'd like to help with the preparation of dishes. We will be leaving from Matthews Center at 3:30pm to head off campus (University & Farmer). Feed 8,000,000,000 February 2nd at 7pm in BAC 116 Within the next two decades the population of the world is expected to climb to 8 billion people. Feed 8 Billion is a panel discussion where internationally recognized scientists will address the possibility of using different technologies to feed the future population of the world. This event is co-sponsored by the ASU Biotechnology Club and Campus Student Sustainability Initiatives. ASU will be hosting the 2012 International Conference on Sustainability Science. Volunteers are needed and will receive free food for the day and a volunteer shirt. Volunteer Opportunity- Zero Waste at the Phoenix Open Golf Tournament February 1st through February 5th This is not an official CSSI event but we encourage you to join several of our members who are volunteering at the event. Recycling Ambassadors will play an important role in educating tournament attendees, monitoring recycling and food waste receptacles and increasing awareness of the waste diversion goals for the 2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Recycling Ambassadors will be stationed next to recycling bins and food waste bins throughout the course, guiding fans to make the right choices. PLEASE NOTE: Recycling Ambassadors will not be required to handle or sort any waste materials. For more details on the Recycling Ambassador program, please Click Here. CSSI Internships: Chief of Staff: Will be responsible for administrative and outreach assistance. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to reaching out to ASU and surrounding community, assisting with the CSSI listserv, taking meeting notes, compiling information, and similar administrative tasks. Marketing Intern: Will be responsible for the creation of promotional materials and the use of technology for reaching out the ASU public. Project Intern: Must be able to manage tasks well, commit to two office hours and one meeting with the Director of Projects every week, and be willing to submit a weekly report.
