JUSTIFICACION

El mundo actual se caracteriza por la comunicacin intercultural, por el creciente ritmo de los avances cientcos y tecnolgicos y por los procesos de internacionalizacin. Estas circunstancias plantean la necesidad de un idioma comn que le permita a la sociedad internacional acceder a este nuevo mundo globalizado. La educacin permite el desarrollo humano y ofrece respuestas a los ciudadanos que conforman la sociedad, en los diversos momentos de la historia. Particularmente, en Colombia, la Ley General de Educacin establece como uno de sus nes El estudio y la comprensin crtica de la cultura nacional y de la diversidad tnica y cultural del pas, como fundamento de la unidad nacional y de su identidad. En la misma ley se jan como objetivos de la Educacin Bsica y Media La adquisicin de elementos de conversacin y de lectura, al menos en una lengua extranjera y La comprensin y capacidad de expresarse en una lengua extranjera. Teniendo en cuenta esta reglamentacin y haciendo uso de su autonoma, la gran mayora de las instituciones educativas colombianas ha optado por ofrecer a sus estudiantes la oportunidad de aprender el ingls como lengua extranjera. Con ello pretenden brindar un lenguaje comn que permita a nios, nias y jvenes mayor acceso al mundo de hoy. Este hecho se ve conrmado por los datos suministrados por el Icfes respecto a las pruebas del 2004, segn los cuales el noventa y nueve por ciento de los estudiantes seleccionaron el ingls en el examen de estado.

Propiciar el desarrollo de las competencias comunicativas, lingstica e interpretativa en el idioma ingles.

METODOS DE ENSEANZA

Con el propsito de lograr el desarrollo de habilidades y destrezas y la comprensin auditiva, comprensin e interpretacin de textos, produccin oral y escrita de mensajes, es decir, la aprehensin y dominio de las habilidades comunicativas bsicas se aplicara una metodologa activa, constructivista y de aprendizaje significativo, procurando la motivacin permanente del estudiante. Para esto se ha diseado estrategias creativas seleccionando temticas del inters de estos, actividades ldicas que afiancen el conocimiento conforme al lado indicado. SISTEMA DE EVALUACION Como proceso continuo y aplicacin de criterios de autoevaluacin, coevaluacin y heteroevaluacin, se motivar a en forma permanente y valorara integralmente el proceso de adquisicin y dominio de las habilidades comunicativas. Se aplicar para esto diferentes estrategias que permitan observar y registrar los avances y/o dificultades durante el proceso de aprendizaje.
