These rubrics are to be used to evaluate your overall performance in class. They are also aimed at giving you the opportunity to reflect on the action you need to take in order to improve.
JORDAN EXCELLENT 4.6 Attends all class sessions and contributes regularly providing challenge and leadership to colleagues. Prepares all session assignments and more. Brings questions and comments that foster a proper dynamic to the sessions. Always respects classmates differences and tries to work together well. Always listens to others, builds on others' ideas, and engages others in reflections and class discussions. Always speaks English in class or tries to use mechanisms to make her/himself understood. VERY GOOD 4.0 Misses 1 class session or topic but otherwise contributes regularly. Prepares all session assignments and at most times fosters a good dynamic to the sessions. Usually respects classmates differences and tries to work together well. Usually listens to others, builds on others' ideas, and engages others in reflections and class discussions. Usually speaks English or tries to use mechanisms to make her/himself understood. Forgets some vocabulary. Spanish is used only if necessary. TOTAL GOOD 3.5 Misses 2 class sessions, and/or fails to contribute regularly. Prepares most session assignments and occasionally helps to promote a good dynamic in the sessions. Sometimes respects classmates differences and does not work together well. Occasionally listens to others, builds on others' ideas, and engages others in reflections and class discussions. Sometimes speaks English or tries to use mechanisms to make her/himself understood. Spanish is used, at some points, when it is unnecessary. NEEDS WORK 2.0 Misses more than 2 class sessions; fails to contribute regularly. Rarely or never prepares session assignments for class work. Fails to promote a good dynamic to the sessions. Rarely respects classmates differences. Rarely works together well with other students. Rarely listens to others, builds on others' ideas, or engages others in reflections and class discussions. Rarely uses English in class and does not try to find mechanisms to make her/himself understood. Spanish is used instead. TOTAL
