The educational groups : over two-third of Alexandria population are having college degrees and high school diplomas and professional degrees.this large number of educated population reflects:

II.

High demand for quality health service and hospitals. Availability of specialized labor like doctors and nurses. Alexandria has one of the largest nursing institution in Egypt plus one of the oldest medical colleges located in the downtown .this help the recruitment process and the availability of qualifies personnel. y Geographical shifts in population: this is a period of great migratory movements between and within new cities of Alexandria. With the high prices of real estates in Alexandria, many young families and newly married has been moving to new cities like Alex west , Borg elArab ,agami district and many more away from the downtown. This mainly creates a new society their which requires new infrastructures and hospitals to serve those new societies. Also many districts in Alexandria are suffering now from industrial pollution like wadi el-kamar and el-dekhila .those areas also need medical care for those societies living their . THE ECONOMIC ENVIROMENT y ALEXANDRIA is an important industrial center because of its natural gas and oil pipelines from Suez. Alexandria was also an important trading post between Europe and Asia. Many petroleum and chemical firms are located in Alexandria where mostly in dekhila and agami and borg el-arab. y We can segment the whole Alexandria society in terms of income distribution which will be into 5 categories: Very low income Like el-gomrok, el-wardeyan, gorbal mostly low income Like victoria very high income kafr abdo, roushdy, san Stefano ,zezenia low, medium, high income Like glym district and smouha ,bolkly . mostly medium income Like miamy, sidi beshr, asafra and mandara y Over the past years in Egypt, the rich have become richer and the middle class has shrunk and the poor have remained poor.

Recently many mosques and churches and charities have built small hospitals and clinics to serve those low income categories. Those small charity hospitals are built through donations and serve a large segment of the Alexandrian society especially in poor neighborhoods. A lot of public hospitals are working in Alexandria and they serve a large segment in the society .One of those is the shatby hospital for children which serve a large segment of families not only in Alexandria but also those living in the cities near Alexandria . Many public and private institutions are in Alexandria as it is considered the second largest city in Egypt. those institutions, unions and companies offer a low subsidized medical service to its members through many hospitals in Alexandria.

III.

The social-cultural environment . y People in the high income level are having a new trend now. Western culture has a great effect on those segments. They have now a great concern for their beauty and shape which is mainly a global western trend nowadays. That s why we notice a lot of medical centers opened in high class districts like roushdy and kafr abdo and glym for beauty and diet .Also many health clubs are opened now in conjunction with medical centers. y Core values are almost impossible to change. However it could change overtime. y Secondary values :secondary values and beliefs can change like: Belief in magic and illusion to cure some diseases. A strong fear of the low capabilities and service in hospitals nowadays. Changing the customer view to trust the core concern of the hospital toward curing and serving the patient. The natural (environmental) environment. y Environment in Alexandria was hardly affected by the new industries emerged in last decade. Those new petroleum firms in the wadi el-amar and dekhila district have affected the healthy status of people living there. y Those societies are hurt terribly by the pollution effect and new diseases emerged in those areas.

Those areas are characterized by its poor nature for infra structure and basics that those people need there. Those people suffer a lot of economic problems and they are mainly low level income categorized. Alexandria extends about 32 km (20 miles) along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in north central Egypt. A great part of this areas are located in the north coast of Alexandria where people their live more primitive life lacking near hospitals and medical service.

VII.

The technological environment. One of the most dramatic forces shaping people s lives is technology .New technologies now presented more advanced medical and health instruments. Many medical centers like beauty centers are mostly depend on new instruments for diet like the LPG device that is specialized in minimizing the fat ratio in the human body. Also many medical devices has emerged for beauty care and surgeries for beauty centers. Those techniques and devices opened the field for new medical and beauty centers to operate and to attract many customers.

VIII.

The political-legal; environment. y The Egyptian ministry of health and population is undertaking an ambitious health sector reform programme to modernize nation s health system. The British council leads a consortium providing technical assistance to the reform programme , financed by the European commission. y Many pressure groups and unions are supporting and monitoring the health industry in Egypt to protect the interests of societies from unbridled business behavior.
