Improvement
Rammax is the inventor of the trench roller and is meanwhile able to look back on more than 35 years of experience in the construction of that type of equipment. The current models have been designed in close collaboration with the customers to meet their needs. Therefore we were able to optimize the well known reliability of our products by improving several details to enhance service and to ease the operators handling.

Operational reliability

Solar infrared remote control. No need to charge at a battery charger. Permanent readiness for operation. The transmitter is charged by solar panels while working. Only half-light is required for automatic charging. Work in complete darkness is possible due to serially integrated accumulator. This is also charged through the solar panels.

Control

The skid-steering of RAMMAX enables to manoeuvre in small spaces. Shifting on small room is possible as the trench roller is able to rotate 360 on the spot. It is also possible to compact around shafts without annoying routing.

Rammax Trench Roller RW 1503

Due to the hydrostatic drive and the strong FarymannDiesel engine the RW 1503 offers various applications. The standard equipment including cable remote control and the optional combination with solar-infrared remote control ensures safe working even in dangerous areas. Customers are able to select the ideal option for their needs from a wide range of offered variations.

Cockpit with an electric hours counter and function control, e.g. automatic low-oil shut down and tilt switch to protect the diesel engine. The diesel engine shuts down automatically if the angle is bigger than 45. Powerful Farymann diesel engine. Standard with electric starter, optional start by crank handle possible. Drum widths 63 or 85 cm and two different drum profiles (depending on the soil) are available. Easy servicing, no lubrication points, no V-belt. 5 years warranty on hydraulic drum drives and vibration bearings.

Rammax Trench roller RW 1504
The RW 1504 is the most powerful walk-behind trench roller of the RAMMAX range. As a result of the various options the trench roller offers, the customer is in the position to receive a trench roller which has been individually composed to meet his needs. This machine can be optionally delivered with manual steering or with different kinds of remote controls. That way the customer can always choose the trench roller which fits best to his demand. All Rammax trench rollers are equipped with two hydromechanical brakes, which prevent the machine from rolling away when the engine is shut down.

Cockpit with an electric hours counter and function control, automatic ignition shutdown, automatic low-oil shut down and tilt switch to protect the diesel engine, protective cover plate for the work with IR remote control and anti-theft protection.

High performance

Powerful Hatz diesel engine with improved injection system for enhanced performance in any situation. 86 kN compaction force through central vibration system. Planetary gear box in each drum for maximum power transmission and a long lifetime.

Safety

Safe operation from outside dangerous areas on the remote controlled versions (-HF/ -HK/ -HFK). Obligatory intervisibility no danger for man and machine. Low and far distance safety shut down (<1,5m / > 24m).

Functional reliability

Maintenance-free

Solar infrared remote control. No need to charge at a battery charger. Permanent readiness for operation. The transmitter is charged by solar cells while working. HF system: Two independently operating steering systems (manual and IR remote controlled). Even if the transmitter is lost or damaged the trench roller can be operated through the manual levers.

The machine (except the diesel engine) is fully maintenance-free. No lubrication points, no V-belts. No joints susceptible to abrasion. Central lifting hook attached to the main frame helps to reduce stress on the rubber-mounts during loading.
