ASME Code Section III, Division 1, Nuclear Power Plant Components, requires compliance with ASME QAI-1, Qualifications and Duties for Authorized Nuclear Inspection. QAI-1 requires that the authorized nuclear inspector: hold a National Board commission work for an authorized inspection agency have appropriate experience pass the National Board "N" endorsement examination

What is Covered
The course curriculum comprises the following: NCA-1000: Scope of Section III NCA-2000: Classification of Nuclear Items NCA-3000: Responsibilities of Owner and "N" Certificate Holder NCA-3000: Design Specifications, Design Reports, Load Capacity Data Sheets, and Design Report Summaries NCA-3800: Metallic Material Organization's Quality System Programs NCA-4000 and NQA-1: Quality Assurance Programs NCA-5000 and QAI-1: AIA, ANIS, and ANI Responsibilities and Duties NCA-8000: Stamping and Data Reports NX-2000, NX-2400, NX-4300, and NX-4400: Welding Requirements NX-2000: Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Requirements NX-2300 and NX-4335: Impact Testing NX-5500 and SNT-TC-1A: NDE Personnel Qualifications NX-6000: Pressure Tests Fundamentals of Radiographic Testing (RT) and RT Film Review Fundamentals of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Section III, Division 3: Containment Systems for Storage and Transport Packagings of Spent Nuclear Fuel and High-Level Radioactive Material and Waste

NQA-1 SNT-TC-1A QAI-1 Candidates should review these ASME sections beginning at least one month prior to attendance to become familiar with the format and content and to prepare for the final examination. NOTE: The National Board adheres to copyright restrictions of all codes and standards. Students should be aware or know this when registering for National Board training.

Testing
Endorsement testing is held last day of course. All Code books used on exam day must be free of any insert pages or notations and will be free of answers or crib sheets. Certificate of successful completion is awarded for passing the test.

Dress Code
Dress for all National Board courses and seminars is business casual.
