Activity 1 Ask the students to hold the hand boiler and squeeze it. After that, challenge your students to get the liquid back to the bottom without turning it over. Furthermore, ask students to also submerge the base in a glass filled with ice. ICT: Projects Students gather information on the various uses and effects of heat in our daily lives and infer how the design of household appliances and equipment takes into consideration the expansion and contraction of objects when heat is absorbed and given out. Students may then communicate their understanding of the effects of heat through blog, posters, charts, articles etc.
