selves. (James 1:22 NKJV) There are many references to being in motion and doing Gods will. Even the act of waiting is an active event. He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father. (Acts 1:4) 1 Waiting on God is an activity similar to a military watch. I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart and watch what He will say to me, and what will I answer when I am corrected. Hab. 2.1 NKJV. In Matt 24 verses 42-44 Jesus said Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. C Nothing about our walk with Christ is a passive or idle activity. As a matter of fact idleness is defined as sin in several passages in the Bible. This means that our faith and witness should not follow the path of most exercise equipment; it should not grow dust, be idle or become a storage area for our laurels. We should always stay in motion growing, nurturing, witnessing and watching for the glorious return of Jesus. Dan Schmucker Mens Ministry

Is Your Faith In Motion? Recently I walked by our treadmill and looked at it and pondered why I dont exercise more. Well there were two reasons. My treadmill had become a glorified clothes rack/storage area and, frankly, I dont like to exercise. I asked a person selling exercise memberships one time if the workout came with the membership. The reality is, exercising is a participant sport not a passive idea that someone else can do. It requires effort. . The commercial stating that a body in motion tends to stay in motion is not only a scientific truth but a profound truth. Think about it. If we are active, you tend to stay active; if we are inactive, any activity will be harder to do. The same goes for Faith, Prayer & Witnessing; if we do them, we tend to continue doing them. 1 Two verses immediately come to mind. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Tim 2:15 NKJV) Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your-

Start saving your change so we can spread the honey around. Honey and beeswax can be sold to pay for education, healthcare, or other needs. The bees also pollinate plants, increasing fruit and vegetable yields. As our teams provide farmers with beekeeping equipment and training, we are able to lead many to Christ. [If you need a container, some are located on the hall table.]

Deacon of the Week: Ray Cooper 434.847.0117

Many times we are asked, Who is my deacon? To help you, we will list the Deacon of the Week and his list of families in the WLBC Bulletin ENewsletter. There will be a complete list posted on the bulletin board near the church office. This complete list is alphabetical by your last name. We hope this will help you know who your deacon is for the year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the church office.

Noah, the elephants are acting up again.

During Jesus time in the wilderness after his baptism, Satan tempted him to do three things. Which of the following was not one of the temptations? A. To change water into wine so wedding guests would know he was Gods Son B. To throw himself down from the top of the temple, expecting angels to save him C. To turn stones into bread to satisfy his hunger D. To worship Satan in order to gain all the worlds kingdoms (See Matthew 4:1-11 and Luke 4:1-13.)

Complaint Dissipated A woman called a newspaper office to complain that her Sunday paper hadnt arrived. Trying to calm her, the man at the office pointed out that the paper hadnt arrived because it was Saturday. After a brief silence, the woman said meekly, Well, that explains why there was no one in church today. Pray for Missionaries: The Knight Family (Japan) www.theknights.multiply.com
