1994
Valvoline established the first marketing arrangement with Cummins in Australia.

Expanding Global Relationship

A marketing and technical alliance was signed in 1995 in principle to market heavy-duty lubricants in North America, has now grown rapidly over the years and emerged to form a strong and global partnership between two of the best known companies in their respective fields: Valvoline and Cummins. Today, Valvoline and Cummins have not only regional marketing alliances but also joint ventures in emerging markets of INDIA, CHINA, BRAZIL, and ARGENTINA. This world wide cooperation has combined engine, lubricant, and filtration technology to deliver products and services that reduce Total Cost of Ownership and achieve our shared goal of Customer for Life.

1995
Cummins and Valvoline announced a North American agreement to promote heavy-duty lubricants and related products.

1996
Valvoline introduces new Premium Blue packaging featuring Cummins exclusive endorsement and recommendations logo.

1998
Cummins and Valvoline formed their first joint venture in India.

1999
Cummins and Valvoline developed a marketing agreement for Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. Tim Solso, Cummins Inc. CEO, named to Ashland, Inc. Board of Directors.
