KDTB/UDP
The KDTB is the person who is the key to block. The QB will call out who this is.
We will go over the read system later. The UDP is going to be the “unblocked-defensive
player” The running back will see who this is during the play, and then break and shake
him. Our key is to get the defense isolated with only one UDP on each side of the field.

Passing Game
Protection
We only use one protection. It is called a “BOB” protection, which stands for
“Big-on-Big”. Here is the structure and keys of it.
1. The offensive line picks up the 4 defensive linemen and the middle linebacker
2. The RB’ block the rest

The offensive line, for a 4-3 front is as assigned below

Tackles-Defensive Ends
Guards-Defensive Tackles
Center-MLB
The RB Block list is below
Check
1. OLB’
2. Safeties
3. DB
Footwork
All that the line does is spot their man to block, and when the snap has occurred, blast
into their man to block.

Pass Play call

We only have 7 overall passing concepts, but each has three different variations. A
Pass play is called by a simple color and number. The color represents what route
concepts is being ran, and the number is the variation!

A call sounds like this “Black 2”, or “Orange 3”.

Routes
Routes are called in groups labeled by colors. There are three routes in each one.
Variations call the change in the routes to each person.

Check W/ Me Offense
This style of offense is when we will send in two plays, a run and a pass. The goal
of this style is to simply put, get the right play in at the line of scrimmage. This is the
only true way to take what the defense is going to give you.

Procedure in the Huddle

To call a “Check” play in the huddle, the QB will call it like this.
1. Play one
2. “Alert”
3. Play two
Example: “Base Jaguar one alert red one1”

Procedure at the LOS

The team will then brake and go to the LOS. While under center, QB will read
defense. If the have stacked players in the box to stop the run, we pass, if not we run. The
QB will “Check” into a play by saying “Easy, Easy”, then call the play color or cat. After
that, the QB will call the number variation.

Example using the huddle call “Base Jaguar one alert red one1”. The QB looks at the
LOS and see the defense has stacked the box to stop the run. The QB would then change
to the pass play with this “Easy, Easy, Red 10, red 10.” The play is now red 1 (Pass).
