RE: Fundraising for an Inspiration Center in Belize

Dear Consujar Representatives,

I am honoured to write to you as we begin this New Year 2ot2, and to convey my heartfelt wish that your year be filled with blessings, health and prosperity. I would also like to thank you for the great work you have been doing to contribute to the development of our beloved country, Belize. The Embassy of Belize appreciates your valuabie service to our nation and looks forward to your continued support.
In this context, I wish to update you on the status of Mrs. Kim Simplis-Barrow's fundraising efforts to build an Inspiration Center in Belize. Since the latter half of last year, we know that many of you have responded positively to Mrs. Barrow's request to assist in raising funds for the Center. Many of you have organized fundraising events and we thank you profusely. As we all know, Mrs. Barrow is currently undergoing rigorous medical treatment. Despite this tremendous ordeal, she remains committed to the establishment of the Inspiration Center, and is still avidly pursuing fundraising efforts for this worthy cause.
The Embassy is also continuing its facilitation of fundraising efforts and we encourage all our Consulates, the Belizean Community Organizations and all our friends to remain steadfast in these efforts. In this regard, I would like to inform you that, with the help of volunteers, we will shortly be launching a website for this initiative, , . . ,, . , .: 'l: i: i :l:; l: ;-;l i: : -':: ;. The website would serve as a hub for fundraising activities occurring across the U.S. and would provide a faciiity for persons to channel donations. Though this will be a stand-alone website, in order to increase its visibility, we intend to link the website to our Embassy's website, the Embassy's facebook page and we hope that we can link it to your Consulate's website. The website is still under construction but we are expecting to launch it in the upcoming weeks. We will inform you when it has been launched.

I am keeniy aware of the great importance our Belizeans abroad attribute to worthy causes back home, and I thank you for your continued support to bring the Inspiration Center to reality. Any and every contribution brings us closer to realizing our goal, which we know wiil make a difference in the lives of many disadvantaged and differently able children in Belize.
