PRODUCT SUMMARY CARING STAR (SERIES II) Underwritten by MSIG Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. PRODUCT INFORMATION The Caring Star is a comprehensive insurance program that covers You for 24 hours, anywhere in the world, for death or specified forms of disablement arising from Injury due to an Accident. BENEFITS AND PREMIUM RESULTS We will pay You the benefits as described below if You suffer Injury which within 104 weeks of its happening is the sole cause of the death or such disablement. A. B. Death Death Double Indemnity If Death results from an Injury which occurs whilst the Insured Person is travelling as a fare paying passenger in a public conveyance or whilst the Insured Person is travelling in an automobile Permanent and Total Disablement Permanent loss or disablement as specified below: 1. Total and permanent disablement from engaging in or attending to employment or occupations of any and every kind 2. Total and Permanent Loss of Sight in both Eyes 3. Total and Permanent Loss of 2 or more Limbs 4. Total and Permanent Loss of Sight in one Eye and one Limb 5. Total and Permanent Loss of Speech 6. Total and Permanent Loss of Hearing in both Ears 7. Total and Permanent Loss of Sight in one Eye 8. Total and Permanent Loss of one Limb 9. Total and Permanent Loss of Hearing in one Ear Daily Benefits (Up to 365 days) Temporary Total or Partial Disablement from engaging in or attending to the usual employment or occupation. Compensation will not be payable for Result D.1 where compensation for Result D.2 or D.3 is payable in the circumstances. Daily Hospitalisation Benefit (Up to 365 days) Hospitalisation of an Insured Person as a direct result of any Injury caused solely by Accident. Daily ICU Benefit (Up to 90 days) The Daily Hospitalisation Benefit will be doubled in case the Insured Person as a direct result of any Injury is Hospitalised in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The maximum period in respect of which the Company will pay under Result D.2 and D.3 for any one Injury is 365 days. * The monthly premium will be deducted from Your selected DBS/POSB bank account or credit card account. The first deduction will be for 2 months premium (or 3 months premium, depending on when You applied for this insurance). Your premium will be adjusted accordingly if the GST rate changes. The monthly premium must be paid and received by Us on or before each monthly due date. Note: Results (A) to (D) are payable over and above any other insurance coverage that you may already have. Result (E) is not payable if it is covered by any other insurance or the Insured Person is entitled to an indemnity from any other source. ANNUAL PREMIUM DISCOUNT: Enjoy 10% discount when annual premium payment is made. FAMILY SAVERS: Include your spouse or children in the same Policy to enjoy 10% discount on the total premium! SOME DEFINITIONS Policy Year means a period of 12 consecutive months starting from the Commencement Date of this Policy and each consecutive period of 12 months for which this Policy remains in force. Accident means an event which happens suddenly, solely and directly caused by violent and external means and give rise to a result which the Insured Person did not intend or anticipate.

Injury means Bodily injury suffered anywhere in the world caused solely by Accident and not by sickness, disease or gradual physical or mental wear and tear. Total and Permanent Loss means permanent, physical severance or total and irrecoverable loss of use. Total and Permanent Loss of Limb(s) means physical severance at or above the ankle or total and permanent loss of use of a complete foot or leg; or, physical severance of the thumb and four fingers at or above the metacarpo-phalangeal joints (where the fingers join the palm of the hand) or severance or total and permanent loss of use of a complete hand or arm. Hospitalisation means Insured Persons confinement in a Hospital for a continuous uninterrupted period of at least 24 hours upon the advice of and under the regular care and attendance of a Physician for which the Hospital makes a charge for room and board.

KEY PRODUCT PROVISIONS The following are some key provisions found in the Policy. This is only a brief summary and You are advised to refer to the actual terms and conditions in the Policy. WHO IS ELIGIBLE Unless We agree in writing otherwise, any person You wish to insure under this Policy must be named as an Insured Person in the Schedule and must at the Commencement Date of the Policy be the following: (i) Yourself aged between 18 years and below 65 years old, or (ii) Your legal spouse aged between 18 years and below 65 years old, or (iii) Your biological or legally adopted child aged between 1 year and below 20 years old, and with his/her Usual Country of Residence as Singapore. KEY EXCEPTIONS There are certain situations where no benefits will be payable. They are stated as Exceptions in the Policy. The following is a list of some exceptions for this Policy. You are advised to read the Policy for full list of the exceptions. an accident while under the influence of alcohol or any drugs not prescribed by a registered medical practitioner air travel except as a passenger in a fully licensed, regularly scheduled passenger carrying aircraft war, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities or war-like operations or civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, civil commotion, military or usurped power act of terrorism including contamination by chemical and/or biological agents ionizing radiations or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel hazardous sport or activity including hang-gliding, parachuting, racing (except on foot or swimming), scuba diving, potholing, mountaineering or rock climbing suicide, self-injury or wilful exposure to peril pregnancy or childbirth any pre-existing physical or mental defect or infirmity excluded occupations: military personnel, law enforcement officer, civil defence officer, security officer, any off-shore occupations such as ship crew, diver, oil-rigger, fisherman, shipyard crew, air crew, construction workers, workers engaged in cleaning, maintenance, roofing or repair activities involving scaffoldings or gondolas, occupations dealing with explosives, poisonous or hazardous gases or substances but this exception shall not apply if Insured Person is off-duty at the time of Injury and the Injury does not arise in the course of employment or any activity related to the employment.

NON-GUARANTEED PREMIUM & CHANGES TO POLICY TERMS Premium is not guaranteed at each renewal of the Policy. We can vary the premium and any other term, condition or exception in this Policy. We will give You 30 days notice of such change. If You continue to pay premiums after We give such notice, it means You accept the change. AUTOMATIC RENEWAL

The Policy will be renewed automatically each year as long as the terms of the Policy are observed, unless either You or We cancel the Policy as described below. No renewal advice will be issued.
CANCELLATION Either You or We can cancel the Policy by giving the other party 30 days notice in writing. If the Policy is cancelled, We will refund You part of the premium You paid so long as no claim has arisen and the pro-rated amount is more than S$10. TERMINATION (a) The entire Policy will terminate and all Insured Persons cover under it will cease immediately upon: i) non-payment of premium by the due date; or ii) the cancellation of this Policy by either You or We as described above. (b) Unless We have agreed otherwise in writing, the cover of an Insured Person under this Policy will terminate immediately in any of the following circumstances, whichever first occurs: i) when the Insured Persons Country of Residence ceases to be Singapore ii) where the Insured Person is You, on the expiry of the Policy Year in which You attain Your 70th birthday iii) where the Insured Person is Your spouse: (iii.i) on the expiry of the Policy Year in which he/she attains his/her 70th birthday or (iii.ii) when he/she ceases to be Your lawful spouse iv) where the Insured Person is Your child, on the expiry of the Policy Year in which he/she attains his/her 21st birthday.

MATERIAL CHANGE You must advise us in writing as soon as You are aware of any change in the employment, occupation, duties or pursuits of any Insured Person, or when the Insured Person lives or intends to live outside of Singapore for more than 6 consecutive months, or any other change which may increase the possibility of a claim under this Policy. You may be required to pay additional premium as a result of any such change. FREE LOOK You have 30 business days to review the Policy. If dissatisfied, You may cancel the Policy within these 30 days with no questions asked. Any premiums paid will be refunded, provided no claim has arisen.

IMPORTANT NOTE The benefits payable are subject to the occurrence of an Accident. You should consider carefully if You are intending to switch personal accident policies, as this might be detrimental to Your current and/or future needs. This Product Summary is not a contract of insurance. Full details of the terms, conditions and exceptions of this insurance are provided in the Policy and will be sent to You upon acceptance of Your application by MSIG Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.

EXTENSIONS TO CARING STAR INSURANCE The following extensions apply to this Policy and are subject otherwise to the terms, conditions and exceptions of this Policy. Except as expressly stated, these extensions do not override the existing terms, conditions and exceptions of this Policy. 1. Reservist Training This Policy is extended to cover Injury sustained by the Insured Person while on part-time National Service as a Reservist in the Navy, Army, Air Force, Police, Fire Brigade or Vigilante Corps, provided that We will not be liable to pay any compensation if the Insured Person was taking part in or was present at any military, navy or air force operation during actual warfare or any insurrection or any expedition or operation of a war-like character either as a combatant or non-combatant when the Injury was sustained. Sedentary Work Military Personnel, Law Enforcement Officer, Civil Defence Officer, Security Officer This Policy is extended to cover Injury sustained by the Insured Person who is employed as a military personnel, law enforcement officer, civil defence officer or security officer who solely does sedentary desk-bound duties, that is, strictly clerical or administrative work. Off-Duty Cover This Policy is extended to cover Injury sustained by the Insured Person who is employed in any of the occupations listed in General Exception 6(a) to (g) provided that the Insured Person is off-duty at the time of the Injury and the Injury does not arise in the course of employment or any activity related to the Insured Persons employment. Chinese Physician/Chiropractor Treatment Expenses Medical Expenses covered by this Policy extends to cover the Chinese Physician/Chiropractor treatment expenses necessarily and reasonably incurred and supported by receipts from a licensed or registered Chinese Physician/Chiropractor for an amount not exceeding $500 in the aggregate. We shall not be liable for more than $25 per consultation, which cannot be more than one per day. Riot, Strike, Murder and Assault This Policy is extended to cover Injury sustained by the Insured Person as a result of riot, strike, murder and assault, provided that such Injury does not arise out of or in connection with the Insured Persons participation, collaboration or provocation of such act. Food Poisoning Extension for Result D1, D2, D3 and E Where an Insured Person sustains any of the results described as Result D1, D2, D3 or E in this Policy, which a Physician certifies as arising from food poisoning caused by consuming food or beverages then, for the purpose of this extension, We will regard any such Result to be a Result caused by Injury. Provided that: a. compensation will not be payable for Result D1 (Daily Benefits) unless the disablement is for a continuous uninterrupted period of at least 3 days following the onset of symptoms as certified by a Physician and any compensation will only be payable in respect of the 3rd and subsequent days of disablement. compensation will not be payable for Result E (Medical Expenses) unless the disablement is for a continuous uninterrupted period of at least 2 days following the onset of symptoms as certified by a Physician. such Injury does not arise out of the Insured Persons wilful and intentional act.

No compensation will be payable under this Extension for Result A (Death), B (DeathDouble Indemnity) and C (Permanent and Total Disablement). 7. Suffocation by Smoke, Poisonous Fumes, Gas & Drowning Any Result sustained by an Insured Person due to suffocation by smoke, poisonous fumes, gas and drowning shall be deemed to be Injury sustained by an Insured Person provided that such Injury does not arise out of an Insured Person's wilful and intentional act. Disappearance We will presume that an Insured Person has died if he or she is missing for 12 consecutive months, and sufficient evidence is provided that leads Us to the conclusion that death was caused by an Injury. However, if at any time after payment of compensation under this Policy for such death the Insured Person is found to be living, such compensation shall be refunded to Us. Exposure If an Insured Person suffers an Injury and then, in consequence of that Injury suffers death or disablement as a result of exposure to the elements, We will consider such death or disablement as having been caused by an Injury.
