KIDS TURN DIVORCE AND SEPARATION WORKSHOP The mission of Kids Turn San Diego is to promote, support and secure the well-being of all children who are experiencing the challenges of family separation. Military and Veteran families face many challenges, and consequently, higher incidences of divorce, separation and family turmoil. High stress, long periods away from home and continually changing family roles all add to the potential of a failed marriage. Kids Turn is the only organization in Southern California working exclusively with military and veteran families to ensure that all parents learn to accomplish a child-centered, healthy divorce/separation. Children will be taught how to express their thoughts and feelings and develop good coping skills while they learn that the divorce is not their fault. The entire family is encouraged to participate. Parents and children attend their own groups, facilitated by group leaders experienced in working with military families. This is a 4 session workshop on 2/21, 2/23, 2/28 and 3/1 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Libby Lakes Community Center, 4700 N. River Road, Oceanside 92057.
