The IBM CoE Student Ambassadors, a select group dedicated to the positive promotion of the IBM Academic Initiative activities, are an essential component of reaching out to each and every student in the country. Responsibilities/Activities of Student Ambassador ( SA ) Create separate group for your college on developerWorks where students can congregate and share, discuss and participate on various IBM Academic Initiative activities. This is a primary and important step for you to ensure appears on the website as a Student Ambassador and also get an exclusive badge! Assisting in registration for TGMC + Ensuring students join TGMC dW page as the groups member Ensuring Unique SRS Submission in TGMC 2011 Ensuring Unique Project Submission in TGMC 2011 TGMC Presentation & Seminars to be conducted & photographs taken Ensure TGMC & AI branding/s are well visible & available within college campus & photographs taken Helping TGMC registered students in their SRS & Project Submission Assisting the Training & Certification camp + Handle mock tests for the participants and prepare them for certification Coordinate to conduct dW awareness sessions in the campus one dW session for a semester Promoting TGMC Facebook page for peers to join & Twitter page amongst students of colleges and have discussions Ensuring TGMC participants go through the Online e-courseware Conducting "THINK THURSDAY" Requirements To remain an active Student Ambassador, you must attend all monthly meetings/training sessions, actively participate in volunteer offerings, and conduct all ambassador business in a professional manner. Monthly Report on TGMC + Fortnightly report on IBM AI Activities need to be sent to IBM so that we are informed on your activities and take due notice on it and reward appropriately. This platform gives you the advantage of collaborating with your peers and millions of others around the globe on any topic which interests you and others alike. How to create a group Assisting in registration for TGMC + Ensuring students join TGMC dW page as the groups member You need to ensure that the college's target of certain number of registrations are met for TGMC 2011 season. A registration is valid once it is entered through the online form on the website. Apart from this, once registered, the team members should become a part of tgmc group on developerWorks www.ibm.com/developerworks/tgmc/india Ensuring Unique SRS Submission in TGMC 2011 You need to ensure that the college's target of certain number of SRS are met for TGMC 2011 season. Please ensure that every SRS the team submits are unique and not copied or used form any other teams SRS. Such documents will not be accepted and also not evaluated. Ensuring Unique Project Submission in TGMC 2011 You need to ensure that the college's target of certain number of projects are met for TGMC 2011 season. Please ensure that every project the team submits are unique and not copied or used form any other teams project. Such documents will not be accepted and also not evaluated. TGMC Presentation & Seminars to be conducted & photographs taken A student ambassador in order to promote TGMC in his/her college needs to conduct presentations and seminars to their fellow students and talk about TGMC and the various activities which are associated with it. The student ambassador needs to take attendance of those present during the session and also take photographs of

the session and share it us. Ensure TGMC & AI branding/s are well visible & available within college campus & photographs taken TGMC team will be providing the college with posters and fliers which needs to be used within the college campus to promote the contest. The posters need to be placed on notice boards of the college campus, outside classrooms, at canteen and at nay other place which can be seen by students. Photographs need to be taken of this and shared with us. Helping TGMC registered students in their SRS & Project Submission As a student ambassador, you need to see that those participating in the contest come to you for any help related to their project. if any professional help is required on the same, you can direct them to the tgmc officials on those for clarification. Assisting the Training & Certification camp + Handle mock tests for the participants and prepare them for certification Student Ambassador will help the certified faculty members in conducting training sessions within the campus and help right till the certification of the tests are over. Coordinate to conduct developerWorks(dW) awareness sessions in the campus one dW session for a semester To conduct dW sessions at college and promoting them to join the community and explore the endless opportunities available! Promoting TGMC Facebook page for peers to join & Twitter page amongst students of colleges and have discussions To promote the TGMC facebook page and twitter page amongst the students of the college to join and be updated on activities of the same. You need to see that the students of your college log in to the e-Learning courseware to learn the tips & tricks of IBM software. Get an overview of what you can expect in the e-Learning Courseware (PDF). Then log in to the e-Learning Courseware. Conducting "THINK THURSDAY" 1. Technical section: Prepared Speech(20 Min): Presentation on Technical topics by SA 2. History of IBM: Prepared Speech(20 Min): Can invite other student to prepare and present information innovation of any year 3. General Awareness: Prepared Speech(15 Min): Can invite other students 4. Guest Lecture: Prepared Speech(15 Min): Can invite College Director/Principal/Dean,Vice Principal/TPO for guest lecture 5. Table topics: On the spot topic(2 Min for each student): can invite 15 students for 2 min. talk on table topic 6. Evaluation round: (10 Min) evaluation by invited faculty members, Guests for further improvement 7. Quiz: (15 Min) Objective quiz based on Technical section, History of IBM, General Awareness and Table topics 8. Prize distribution: (10 Min) Prize distribution to Quiz winners, Speaker of the day
