Dear Families: Welcome to First Grade!!! My name is Mrs.

Latoya Reed and I will be your childs first grade teacher for the 20112012 school year. This is my fifth year teaching at Tusculum Elementary. I taught kindergarten for four years and this will be my first year teaching first grade. I am so excited to start a brand new year with your student. I will do my best to ensure that your child has a very positive, productive, and educationally sound year. Although I do have experience teaching and working with children, I realize that you are the first expert on your child. Therefore, I will consider myself as part of a team and expect full partnerships from the families of my students. If you have questions or concerns please let me know immediately so we can discuss and resolve them. Again, I would like to welcome you to a great year of first grade ahead.

Thank you, Mrs. Latoya Reed
