how to track changes on Infoprovider?

Hi Gurus, Could you please provide the steps of how to track changes on Infoprovider? I had 4 Infocubes (belonging to the same info area) that contains compressed data - but now when I tried to display the data, all the cube are empty - no data were aechived. I would like to track any actions that were made on those cubes. Thanks Sankar Kumar

Check with FM RSD_CUBE_LOG_DELE with your cube name. It will show the deletion log history. Blaiso

thanks Kumar for helping me out here I tried RSD_CUBE_LOG_DELE function module - It came out "no logs found in the database" I tried tables RSDRDLOGHEADER and RSDDSTATDELE which provide me deletion informations like user name... but since we have partially archived those specific infoproviders in the same period of time where I think eveything was gone from cube, I am not able to related when and who the data that were not archived were deleted from Infocube Under manage Infocube --> archiving tab, all the created archiving request are only for certain dates (below 2006). I know that we had data above 2006.

Kindly provide additional inputs. Thanks Mr. V

I think u can use SLG1 tcode. For example Object : RSD Subobject: CUBE_DEL This log will give u activities done on cube deletions. U can check other options to find cube data deletion. Blaiso

We have a pur flow with the ds 2lis_02_scl, with the transf between ds and dso. Its already active in the flow. Now we need to add an infosource in between as there is a new requirement to add a field. Can u please tell me how to create an infosource for the already active flow. Hi Daniel, In business content we already have info source with same name 2lis_02_scl. Ya but we are not using the standard one, we have modified it and unselected many fields from it. So now I right click on inforsource and tried to create one with the ref of this ds and then it has created one but all the fields are empty on the left and right hand side ...I have all the fields. Do I have to manually give the first column fields so that it will find those and finally I can activate it and create transformation. Is that right ? Can I get all the source fields whcih can be added in the inforsource directly from any table or something. Hope you got what i am asking ? Thanks Venkateswarlu N...

Ya but there are arnd 180 fields in it, how can i find which is what and need to punch in for all the 180 fields....r u kidding me. Is there any table where we can get the fields to the infobjects, so that I can export

to excel and then paste those in the first column...currently the first col is empty and the last col has the ECC fields. Please give me the table or some short cut to fill those, it will take 1 day to fill all those 180 fileds manually. Thanks Venkateswarlu N...

Hi Daniel, Check the table RSTSFIELD. Give the transfer structure name and execute. This will give you the list of info objects included in data source. Regards, Venkatesh Mr. V

Right click on inforsource and try creating one (copy from.. object type :DSO), then infosource would be created with fields available in DSO. Then u can simply copy transformation from DS--> DSO to DS--> InfoSource and InfoSource --> DSO Daniel

Mr. V , wow....superb..., I couldnt recollect this step....amazing.....u have saved quite a lot of time.....excellent, thanks for the suggestion buddy. I gave full 10 points to u. One more thing, can i delete the existing trans between ds and dso now, as I have created the infsor and hav built the trans between ds and is and is and dso as well. Can i delete it now....or safe side let it be.

Hi Daniel, make it deactivate and keep it like that. If you get any future requirement you can use it directly. open transformation goto edit mode and comeback without saving it. Regards,

If you do not have any routines / formulas in that transformation u can delete that. Otherwise make note of that routines / formulas. I think u should delete that otherwise it wont allow you to create DTP. Daniel

Ya but Mr.V i have said its already exisitng flow and it already has a DTP, I dint run it though. What do you mean it wont allow you to create DTP ? We have the existing dtp between the ds and dso rite !!! BTW, arent the routine copied when we do a create a transf between IS and DSO...obviously the existing routine and mapping should be copied to that new transf between the IS and DSO rite ? Please let me know if my understanding is rite, should I run the existing DTP and see or do we need to create a new dtp again ? Mr. V

U should create new DTP. Existing one will not work. If u double click existing DTP,, under 'Execute' tab u can see the transformation DS -> DSO Since new transformations are again between same DS and DSO (though u have new IS) system wont allow you to create new DTP. U should delete old DTP and transformation and create new DTP. When u double click new DTP, under 'Execute' tab u can see two transformations DS --> IS and IS --> DSO. When u copy transformation by default routines / formulas gets copied. For the safer side I told to copy. Daniel

Mr.V, I think we are mistaken here. Because I am not able to create a DTP between infosource and DSO after creating the transformation between them. Are we in a wrong guess, by the way to test my flow...I have

tried what venkates has suggested, to remove one field and saved it without activating it, but still that transf between the ds and dso is still executable....so now how do i test my flow, and there is no data in D to test my created trans between ds and infosource and infos and dso. In short, I need to test my newly created transf in the flow between ds and dso via the infosource. There is already exisitng transf between the ds and dso to proceed further and I think its riskly to delete it untill my flow is working fine. Please suggest. If i create a new dtp its again showing the flow as ds to dso in the execute button flow....as the old transf is still active. I am not able to find the option infosource and dso while creating a new dtp.
