Nordic Plus 1950 Bench
With a benchtop manufactured from hand selected slow growing Nordic birch, this bench is built to last a lifetime of normal use, and comes with a 10 years warranty from Sjobergs of Sweden. The sturdy underframe is made from Scandinavian pine with a movement resisting H design. Both vices can be mounted on the front for heavy duty clamping or one at either end for clamping in two positions and maximum clamping distance. The Nordic bench is equally suited to right or left-handed working. There are four mounting locations for the vices allowing you to configure the bench to best suit your work. A double row of 19mm (3/4) dog holes runs from each of the four vice locations, giving an endless opportunity to clamp your work. 4 plastic coated steel bench dogs are supplied as standard, which help protect your edge tools. The bench dogs are reversible for thin workpieces and are held in place by a ball catch, so they dont drop out when setting your work; these push flush when not required. The top is varnished for longevity. Nordic benches can also be fitted with the accessory cupboard and drawer kit (0042) and the optional pair of Holdfasts (ST03), which can be located in any of the dog holes on the worktop or in the holes on the front legs of the bench. Beech not only looks good but has a greater resistance to damage. The sturdy beech under frame has an ultra sturdy H frame design to prevent any rocking in use. The worktop is oil finished for easy redressing. Both vices can be mounted on the front for heavy-duty clamping or one at either end for clamping in two positions and maximum clamping distance. The Duo bench is equally suited to right or left-handed working. There are four mounting locations for the vices allowing you to configure the bench to best suit your work. SJOBERGS of Sweden have been manufacturing top quality workbenches for over 80 years. Built to last, these benches are made from home grown Scandinavian timber, with thick MDF tops. Designed for the serious hobby user, they are perfect as a second or auxiliary bench in any workshop. The trestles and under-frame are solid timber and only require a minimal amount of self assembly to become a rock solid friend. The top is hard wearing, easily cleaned laminate. The vice features dog holes as does the top with two rows of eight holes allowing larger items to be securely clamped, four bench dogs are supplied. The vice features a large main screw and twin guide bars, the jaw is 360mm wide, opening to 100mm. A 500 x 375mm shelf between the main braces allows for storage. Dimensions 1,000mm x 500mm H 820mm.

Beech Work Bench

This is a strong bench, made by laminating tough, durable beech; this method of manufacture will ensure your bench stays flat throughout its working life. The bench includes a useful underslung drawer and a lower shelf. There are two vices, front and tail both with a maximum opening of 160mm and jaw width of 280mm, a double row of dog holes run down the entire length of the bench at 160mm spacing, 4 bench dogs are supplied. The right hand leg has holes drilled to take a work support peg, for use when long boards are clamped in the front vice. Sjobergs 1800 Two Sided Workbench

This workbench provides enough space for two people to work together at the same time. Made from slow grown European beech and birch, it is extremely robust. Its construction uses two 40mm thick slabs of laminated beech, each measuring 1,800mm x 250mm. A central shallow recess of 330mm width runs along the full length. This gives a bench size of 1,800 x 830mm. There is the provision to add a 180mm (7) York woodworking vice to each side, just purchase one or two vice kits, each of which comprises one vice and fittings. The frame is made from 80mm square legs and 90 x 40mm braces, firmly bolted together to form a rigid frame. Two birch ply panels create a 1,340 x 705mm shelf within the legs, supported on the braces. Easy to assemble, this is reminiscent of a traditional school woodworking bench brought up to date. No vices are included with this bench, they are available as an optional extra. Sjobergs Educational 1200 Four Sided Workbench
This Sjobergs Educational bench uses almost entirely selected European beech in its construction, the top panels being 40mm thick. Substantial 70mm square legs and 70 x 40mm horizontal braces ensure an extremely rigid structure. This style of bench is very popular with schools, having space for up to four pupils to work on small projects. The 605mm central square panel in the centre is reversible, forming a shallow well for small tools etc. It is easily possible to configure the horizontal braces to allow a wheelchair user to work comfortably at the bench. One each side there is a removable insert, which allows the fitting of a 180mm (7) quick-release woodworking vice. A kit is available comprising a York vice and fittings. Also available is a choice of cupboards, each of which has two lockable compartments for the storage of tools or small work projects. The cupboards are either melamine faced board or in much stronger 16mm birch ply. A pair of cupboards fitted to the bench will provide a locker for each side. The top of this bench is 1,530mm long by 655mm wide with a removable aluminium checker-plate surface. Beneath the checker-plate is 40mm thick solid plywood top. This type of top offers durability, toughness and ensures it will remain flat. Two rubber mats are also included to protect the top from heavy toolboxes, or protect workpieces. This bench unit utilises a close tolerance lug and slot system to form a rigid structure. Bolted diagonal braces at the rear and cross braces bolted between the legs at either end add even more strength. Both the worktop and shelf decking are hard 12mm thick chipboard. An extra support beam runs under the middle of the top. All the steel has a scratch resistant epoxy powder coated finish. The rolled safe edge eliminates sharp edges and adds extra strength. This will make an excellent workbench in anyones garage, coupled with the heavy-duty shelves it is an ideal mitre saw work station. The maximum loading per shelf is 90kg UDL. Veritas Round Bench Dogs & Pups

These are made from solid brass rod. The crosshatching and 2 slope on the face help to hold wood securely, pulling it down onto the benchs surface. A side spring slides cleanly and holds it in position. The dogs are 110mm(4.3/8) long, the pups 60mm(2.3/8). Both work well in combination with Veritas Wonder Dog and Wonder Pup Clamps. For 19mm(3/4) dog hole.

Veritas Bench Anchor Veritas Surface Clamp

Hold down, bench clamp, surface clamp - the functions the same just the name changes but true to form Veritas have taken an ordinary thing and made it much, much better - as well as a thing of beauty in brass and black satin. This fast acting surface clamp can be used anywhere you can drill a 19mm(3/4) diameter hole. The post has a wedging mechanism which anchors it firmly (horizontally or vertically) in material as thin as 16mm(5/8) provided it will resist the expansion of the wedge, making it the perfect companion for your jigs and sub-tables. The clamp arm slides easily for quick adjustment when tilted but locks firmly at 90, with a reach of 54mm(2.1/8) it will also clamp up to a thickness of 95mm(3.3/4). The combined forces of the wedge hold activated by the top screw, firm lock on the shaft ridges via steel pins and the generous clamp screw give you excellent hands free holding power. It is easiest to think of this as a barrel-shaped insert nut that secures in any 19mm(3/4) diameter hole, except this one self-anchors and is removable. Usable horizontally, vertically or at any angle in between, it accepts common 1/2 UNC threaded bolts, and will wedge in through-holes in material as thin as 16mm(5/8) or in blind holes 32mm deep. With pullout strength of at least 90kgs in hardwood, the anchor has a wedging mechanism controlled by an integral hex-head screw drive and an external rubber O-ring that uses friction to hold it in place during installation. Though any 1/2 UNC threaded rod or bolt may be used with our bench anchor, we offer a small selection of flathead and round-head fasteners here for convenience. The 27mm diameter washer, for use with round-head fasteners, increases the surface contact area of the head, made in Canada.

Axminster Bench Clamp

A new version of the traditional screw-adjustable bench clamp with 175mm maximum capacity. The stem of the clamp has serrations for quick height adjustment within the collar and the screw is used to apply the final pressure. The collar is recessed flush with the bench top and there are spare collars available for alternative clamp positions. Axminster Hold Down Clamp

This is a very robust hold down clamp. The body is cast iron, the screw has a deep cut Acme thread for both strength and smoothness of operation. Maximum height that can be clamped is 75mm(3), jaw reach 45mm(1.3/4). Very easy to fit, use on top of the bench, on the side or end or on drill press tables or sawhorses. Hugely versatile bench top fittings, which come in very handy for all sorts of jig and homemade clamping devices. Veritas Wonder Dogs & Pups are basically bench dogs with a length of threaded bar through the top, tommy bar one end and brass clamping face at the other. The difference between them being stem length, Dogs are 165mm, Pups at 70mm. Dogs have a spring retainer, Pups an O-ring. Choice is dependent on bench top thickness, below 38mm use Pups, above 38mm use Dogs. All that is required to mount them is a 19mm hole. Axminster Round Bench Dogs
A pair of 3/4 round aluminium bench dogs with integral spring so that once positioned, they remain where placed. Exceptionally easy to add to any bench by just drilling with a 3/4 forstner bit a neat and upright hole where needed. Care however should be taken to ensure when drilling that the bench has adequate thickness to accept the dogs and that the location does not interfere with any vice equipment mounted under the bench. Supplied in pairs, size 19mm(3/4) diameter x 115mm(4.1/2) length.
York End Mounted Bench Stop

These well made, robust bench dogs simply mount directly onto the end of a workbench with two stout screws. They adjust vertically from zero to 50mm, locked by a thread with a tommy bar. Very strong with a minimal amount of work required to fit it.
Axminster Heavy-Duty Lifting Levellers - Pack of 4

A pack of four height-adjustable feet for levelling benches, machines, etc. Fix the brackets to the bottom of each leg or corner of the bench and then adjust the height with a hexagon key in the recess in the top of the screw. If used inside a cabinet, a hole will need to be drilled through the bottom shelf to give access for the hex key. The length of the foot is 75mm and the height of the bracket is 60mm. Load capacity is 270kg per leveller.

Axminster Bed Bolt Nuts - Packs 2

These nuts are a traditional way of joining a beds side rail to the leg. This method forms a very strong and neat joint that can be retightened at any time to take into account seasonal movement of the timber. At the same time it is easy to dismantle. This method is equally effective for joining the rails of a workbench to its legs. The smaller brass nuts have dimensions 24.5mm diameter (clearance in a 25mm hole), 22mm in length and tapped M10. The larger: 24.5mm diameter, 25mm long and tapped M12. The steel nuts are 20mm in both length and diameter, tapped M10. Sold as a pack of 2, bolts not included.
Pack of 4 Adjustable Feet

A simple yet useful item, a set of four adjustable feet for fitting to the base of machines, tables, benches and so on. The feet are hard black plastic, 35mm diameter, the bolts are zinc plated 3/8BSW by 93mm long and equipped with two large washers and three nuts per foot. They can be screwed into a hole tapped into the base of the machine or clamped up either side of a sheet steel base.
Veritas Bench Blades

So named because of their very low profile, they project only 6mm, above your bench top. A thumb-operated eccentric cam lever controls the sliding jaw, allowing you to secure work quickly. The jaw has a 6mm range of travel and applying up to 130kg of force. Flats on the cam provide secure stops at 3mm and 6mm of travel. The jaw face has a 5 inward cant to help hold a work piece securely. The cam and jaw are cast steel, heat-treated for surface hardness. The standard post version is for use in a 19mm (3/4) diameter through-hole (or blind holes at least 47mm deep). The wedge-lock version is usable at any angle from horizontal to vertical. It will anchor firmly in a 19mm (3/4) diameter throughhole in material as thin as 16mm or in blind holes that are a minimum of 34mm deep. Made in Canada

Axminster Folding Stand with Work Supports Morticed Bench Stop

This flush mounted stop can be raised when needed up to 1/2 proud by means of a spring loaded wing bolt. The serrated jaw holds even thin stock firmly. Made from cast alloy it is non rusting and soft enough not to chip the plane iron should accidents occur. It is 1.1/2 wide and 2.1/2 long and can be mounted into any bench thicker than 7/8 and is , secured by two screws hidden under the jaw. A most useful addition to any woodworkers bench. The Axminster Folding Stand with work supports is ideally suited for use with a mitre saw or any other bench top machine with a footprint of less than 600 x 480mm and weighing less than 40kg. It folds neatly for storage when not in use; with the material supports removed it only occupies a space 940mm high x 110mm deep, so can easily be hung on a wall. In use the stand locks securely, with the table top at a convenient 832mm high. The top itself is 16mm thick laminated board 600 x 480mm. Axminster Quick Action Bench Clamps

Sold as a set of four clamps, they are the perfect companion to the Workmate or similar. Fitting neatly into any of the holes that are pre-drilled in the work tops, the ABS threaded bodies pass through accepting their matching quick nuts to the rear. These quick nuts are adjusted by squeezing two lugs on the nuts until the clamps are in place. The quick clamps are perfect for holding virtually anything down to the top of the bench surface locking them finally in place with the over centre cam ingeniously positioned on top of each clamp. If the pressure is not sufficient, back the cam off and tighten the nut underneath until adequate pressure is achieved.

Connell Klip System Storage Rack

This is one of the most innovative parts of the Klip System. It neatly stores loaded pouches and other items from the Klip System. It is available in either 1m (8 Klips) or 500mm (4 Klips) lengths. Holes at each end allow you to attach the rack to your workshop wall or the interior of your van. The wall bars are 850mm long with pre-drilled fixing holes for securing to a wall. The 280mm arms bolt onto the wall bars, at 160mm centres. The arms deliberately slope fractionally backwards to prevent timber from sliding off. Each part is laser cut from 2mm thick steel, folded for maximum strength and painted. Of course should you wish, you can always fix a shelf between two arms and use the rack to store other items. An unusual product but one we thought was a great idea for use in the workshop. Comprising a 70L lidded waste bin plus two detachable caddies, one large and one small. Extending our range of material handling equipment is this economically priced and well constructed pallet truck. 550mm wide by 1,440mm long with arms 160mm wide, it has a base height which varies between 80mm and 200mm. The lifting is hydraulic, activated by pumping the main handle up and down. There is a release catch on the handle for gently lowering the load. The steering wheels can be rotated to 90 for maximum manoeuvrability. An essential piece of equipment for any situation where palleted goods are handled. Max load 2000kg.
