The HCM550 is a portable and robust solution for mixing concrete or mortar. The combination of a large 160 litre capacity drum (about two barrow loads) and powerful 650W electric motor make quick work of mixing. Mortar Hoe
It doesnt get much simpler than this. Attach a stout broom handle to the hoe and use to mix the sand and cement dry, then add the water, and give it another quick turn, it makes light work, easier to mix a small batch and you can happily mix all day without getting tired. This method of mixing is amazingly quick and, better still, the mortar is already in the barrow ready to be transported. No shovelling off the mixing board or cleaning up the area afterwards. Sticking to conventional wisdom that says dont change a classic design that works concrete trowels havent changed much in the , last 50 years. But the Camlock trowel adds a modern kick: adjustability. It features a quick-release handle that slides along a central bar channel to allow you to adjust the grips position for maximum comfort and reach. Marshalltown Magnesium Float

The blade is extruded magnesium fitted with a double hang wooden handle. Magnesium is very hard, durable and lightweight. It produces a smoother finish than a wooden float. It brings the cream to the surface of the concrete, making the final finishing or polishing with a steel trowel that much easier and quicker. The M145 is one of Marshalltowns most popular trowels. Bucket Trowel Plasterers/Builders Yellow Bucket

Yellow buckets that are useful for a whole range of jobs on site or around the home. They are very durable and have a pouring spout on the side. Hardened and tempered carbon steel blade fitted with a comfortable soft touch handle. Shaped to scrape every last dollop of mortar from a bucket. The corners of the clipped end are ground with a slight radius to prevent damage to the bottom of a moulded builders bucket and get right into the rounded bottom corner. Length 180mm.

This is an absolute godsend. Looking remarkably similar to an oversized, extra heavy-duty mastic gun, the Pointing and Grouting Gun makes light work of a tedious task. Its powerful pump action forces the mortar or grout deep into the joints, minimising voids and maximising strength. Mortar should be mixed as per the manufacturers instructions. If using normal builders sand use a proprietary plasticiser to ensure a smooth even flow of mortar. Do not use with cements containing sharp sand or gravel. Supplied with one pointing and one grouting nozzle. The grouting nozzle tip measures 2.5mm x 4mm and is adjustable by trimming the length of the nozzle whilst the pointing nozzle measures approximately 12 x 7mm, Replacement nozzles are available separately.

Marshalltown Grout Bag Marshalltown 45 Pointing Trowel
Like the Marshalltown brick trowels these are made from a one piece forging of high carbon steel taper ground and hardened throughout. Fitted with Durasoft handles for extra comfort during long use. Available in two sizes. Looking like a giant icing bag it performs very much the same process. Simply fill the bag with mortar using a good plasticiser and squeeze out in between bricks or slabs. The bag itself is of seamless heavy-duty black vinyl and is fitted with a steel exit nozzle with a 9.5mm hole. The bag is 600mm long and the top diameter is 225mm. To clean simply turn inside out and hose off any mortar remaining on the bag.

Pointing Plate
A stainless steel plate with two turned up edges to prevent the pug from falling off. A wooden handle is fitted to a steel spigot welded to the underside of the plate. The handle is angled making it easy and comfortable to hold keeping the plate level. In its native Austria this plate is used when pointing stone walls. The Hanson Chalk-Hog 100 is a heavy duty chalk line with a unique feature in that a bottle of chalk can be attached directly to the body of the unit thus eliminating the messy hassle of conventional refilling. Just uncap a 225g(8oz) chalk bottle, screw it to the end of the Chalk Hog, and youre ready for action. A strong telescopic steel pole with a central spring loaded metal ratchet mechanism. At each end, a rubber foot is attached on a threaded rod. The pole extends from 1,600mm to 2,900mm. In use open until the pads make contact, then rotate the pole using the central rubber grip. This rotation causes the threaded rod to unwind and tighten against the floor and ceiling holding the pole firmly in position. The maximum loads are: vertical 60kg, and at 45 no more than 20kg. The drywall trolley is designed for the easy handling of plasterboard; obviously it can be used with any sheet material. Manufactured from strong tubular steel, it is fitted with two fixed and two swivelling castors with solid rubber tyres giving excellent manoeuvrability. It is intended for internal use on level, even surfaces. A ledge on the 250mm wide base prevents boards falling off while in motion. Dimensions: length 1,260mm, width 600mm and height 1,200mm means it is narrow enough to easily go through a doorway. Carrying capacity: 225kg or 8 sheets of 12.5mm(1/2) board material (approx).

Drywall Panel Lifter

The Axminster Drywall Panel Lifter is made from an all welded steel construction and can be used by one person. By far the easiest way to install a sheet of plasterboard single-handed onto a ceiling. It is controlled by a simple winch and brake system. The tilting cradle brings the loading height down to a manageable 870mm. It is then raised using the winch to the required height. It enables plasterboard sheet to be positioned on walls and sloped or level ceilings. The Lifter has a maximum lifting height of 3.35m(11) and can hold up to a 1,200 x 4,800mm (4 x 16) single sheet. Plasterboard Strip Cutter

A device for accurately cutting or trimming a narrow strip from a full new sheet of plasterboard. Two very sharp circular cutting wheels are mounted on arms connected by a spring. Between the arms is an adjustable clamp, which controls the depth of cut (up to 120mm) and the distance between the wheels. Select the desired depth i.e. width of strip (the arms are graduated in metric and imperial), place the device over the edge of the board, then, using the side screw, close the cutting wheels together until they bite into the boards surface. Draw the tool along the edge and the wheels will have scored both sides so the strip can be snapped off. This is very accurate and leaves a good straight edge.

Coving and Cornice Mitre Jig

Cutting a perfect mitre in coving or cornice is a tricky job at the best of times, particularly when the section is thin and there is only a narrow flat to locate it on the saw. This clear perspex jig fits most power or hand mitre saws and presents the moulding to the blade in the correct position, resulting in a spot-on angle. Wiha Super Sharp Scraper

One of the best tools weve found for scraping off small areas of old adhesive, paint spots, sealant, etc. A collet holder fitted to a Wiha soft finish handle securely holds chisel tip knife blades. The super sharp, 13mm wide blade is great for cleaning up. Incidentally the blades supplied bear an uncanny resemblance to Swann Morton blades for the No 2 ACM modelling knife handle, the No 18 blade being a direct replacement, the others greatly extending this tools potential. The TC200III features a quiet induction motor, running on four bearings in a rigid extruded aluminium track. A laser line clearly indicates the path of the blade for aligning a cutting line. The maximum cutting length is 560mm and the track features adjustable stops. The 200mm diamond blade is cooled by a small integral pump with a constant supply of water from the reservoir below the table. A mitre fence controls angle cuts between 0 and 45 and tilting the motor guide rail gives bevel cutting to 45 and opens up the possibility for compound angle cutting. Table height on stand is 700mm. Extension Poles for Rollers

The Harris Ultima Click-Lock pole is extendable from 800mm to 1.2m with preset locks every 150mm. It is made up of a fibreglass main pole with an aluminium inner extension. It is both light and strong, the business end has a taper to fit most rollers or removing the taper exposes a threaded adaptor fitting most professional roller cages. For longer reach or outdoor work the three-section aluminium extension pole extends from 1.2m to 3m. It can be locked at any length using a twist lock system. Manufactured from aluminium tube it is light weight and yet remains sufficiently rigid when fully extended. Again removing the taper adaptor exposes a thread. N.B. Forged Tile Removing Tool

This solid forged, Sheffield made tool is designed to remove tiles quickly and effectively. The tile remover is placed flat against the wall or floor with the cutting edge against the edge of the tile to be removed. A sharp tap or two with a hammer directly behind the blade breaks the adhesive bond and off pops the tile, or most of it. A couple more taps on the more stubborn bits completes the job. This tool makes short work of clearing a large area and in most cases, leaves a neat surface almost ready for re-tiling. Do not use the tile remover as a lever as this can cause pieces of tile to splinter and fly off in any direction. Always wear eye protection. 50mm wide blade fitted with protective grip.

The use of hard porcelain tiles is becoming increasingly common; normally this type of tile is exceedingly difficult to drill. These bits developed by Armeg of Sheffield have a carefully designed tip geometry and use a specially selected grade of tungsten carbide for the cutting tip, diamond lapped to give the optimum performance. Made in the Ansell forge in Sheffield, the Special Electricians Flooring Chisel is two tools in one, the thin sharp blade acts as a normal chisel used for cutting the floorboard tongue. The other function is as a neat floorboard lifter, where the kink in the blade becomes a built-in fulcrum giving greatly improved leverage and minimising damage to the adjoining floorboards. The single cup version is activated by closing the two handles, the double by depressing the individual toggles. Effective on glass or any smooth surface, a very useful item when it comes to moving household appliances around such as fridges or washing machines, just attach a lifter for an instant handle. Pad diameter 115mm(4.1/2), lifting capacities are 40kg for the single, 60kg for the double. These specialist pliers have two functions. Trimming by breaking a narrow strip, with the flat jaw uppermost close to a scored line, a quick downward move will break the glass in a controlled manner. Grozing is the nibbling away or trimming of unwanted bits of glass, known as points or flares, external or internal curves. Semi-permanent markers for glazed and shiny surfaces. When working with glass or glazed tiles, these pencils produce a mark that can be easily followed. The line can be removed using a little soapy water or kitchen cleanser. Supplied in a pack of five: Red, Green, Yellow, Blue and Black.

Lead dyke cutting pliers resemble diagonal cutters but differ in that they have a much more acute angle on the cutting edges. This hammer has three different interchangeable heads (the spare screws into the end of the handle). One head of the hammer is a soft plastic for tapping glass gently into lead came channel. A second head is harder plastic for use on lead or nails and the third is steel for nails and general use.
