Since 1999 I have been consulting as project manager in various Municipal and Provincial Agencies in the field of Advanced Technologies. My largest project was as Community Engagement Manager for NetWork BC, in which we identified 366 rural BC Communities without broadband access. As Community Engagement Manager I identified champions in each community, co-created solutions with them, and ensured that education, funding, and support was available to them. As Project Leader I negotiated agreements between various vendors, stakeholders and governments to complete this initiative. Each location was left with a community based open access network to run on their own and empowered to develop or implement new applications or businesses that could only be maximized by the use of the high speed broadband. Our role was to make this as simple and cost effective as possible. We worked through the geographical or technical barriers, dealt with multiple vendors, provided technical risk analysis along with a community assessment impact study. I was also instrumental in handling legal issues and contingency planning. Through these experiences I have strengthened my familiarity with MS Project Management Software in which I am currently studying for my PMP designation. With a lengthy history in all aspects of internet, telecommunications, business development and project management, I am the ideal candidate who is proactive and insightful for innovative solutions.
