Uploading new software version in Unisab III

Please note: For TSMC and TCMO compressors the Intermediate pressure (-1/25 bar) transmitter connection must be moved from connector X5 terminals 7/8 to connector X5 terminals 11/12, and the Intermediate temperature PT100 sensor must be moved from connecter X19 terminals 17/18/19/20 to connector X19 terminals 13/14/15/16, when upgrading to software version 1.0.5.6 or later. For SAB120, 151, 193, 233, 283 and 355 with HLI oil cooling the connection to the HLI expansion valve must be moved from connecter X4 terminals 13/14 to connector X3 terminals 5/6 when upgrading to software version 1.0.6.5 or later. For SAB120, 151, 193, 233, 283 and 355 with Forced speed function you must either remove the wires from the present drive jug speed or disable the new Forced speed function in Unisab III, to avoid any interference between the two functions when upgrading to software version 1.0.8.3 or later. See the Unisab III Engineering manual version 1.09, circuit diagrams 4849-961, rev. 9. Uploading a new software version can be done by using a SD flash card. The new software (e.g. version 1.0.9.0) must be placed in a library with the following path on the flash card: X:\UnisabIII\updates\1_0_9_0. The software consists of a Unisab III application (program) file UnisabIII_xxxx.strip, and a number of language files ResourceBundle.properties. Before uploading new software version please fill in the list Settings for Unisab III or use the new U Set spreadsheet. As the software version 1.0.9.0 includes changes in the internal structure the previous configuration might not be saved when upgrading to version 1.0.9.0. This depends on which software version in Unisab III you upgrade from. The actual software version number in Unisab III is found in the picture Service/Diagnosis/Software/Software Version. In case you upgrade the Unisab software from version 1.0.3.1, or older, all configuration and settings will be set to default, and it is therefore necessary, when the software update is complete, to reconfigure the Unisab III according to the filled in settings list. This also includes the Hour counter, calibration values and serial number. In case you upgrade Unisab III from a software version 1.0.5.6, or newer, all configuration and settings except calibration values and possible new added changes and are saved in the Unisab III configuration files. In this case it is not necessary to reconfigure the Unisab III, but when the software update is complete, you should verify the settings up against the settings list.

Insert the flash card in Unisab III and restart the unit (power off/on or press the keys F2+F3+F4 at the same time). If the file version on the SD card is newer than the present software version, the Unisab III will automatically ask if the software version should be updated when you restart Unisab III. The following picture will pop up on the display.

Press F2/Yes before the timer expires otherwise the Unisab III will restart without updating the software.

You will be prompted to accept. If you Press F2/Yes, updating to version 1.0.9.0 will take place. The update will take few minutes and when it is done the following picture will pop up on the display.

Unisab III is now updated to version 1.0.9.0 (including the 19 language files). The SD-card can now be removed from the Unisab III. Press F1/Restart to make the change take effect.
