Manufacturers Certificate Alside Vinyl Window and Patio Door Products

Alside, headquartered at 3773 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, manufactures exterior window and patio door products. ENERGY STAR qualified windows and patio doors, which meet or exceed the criteria established by the U.S. Department of Energy for each of the climate zones, may qualify for a tax credit under part of the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization and Job Creation Act (H.R.4853). Qualifying product criteria shall be those that meet ENERGY STAR criteria in the climate zone in which they are installed. Products shall qualify for the aforementioned energy-efficient, home improvement incentives that allow for a tax credit of 10% of the cost of the qualifying windows to a maximum of $200 per household and patio doors to a maximum of $500 per household for 2011. Note: There is now a lifetime limit of $500 ($200 for windows/skylights) in total credits that a homeowner can claim from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2011. It is not on top of the $1,500 limit in 2009-2010. The cost of installation may not be included. Alside represents that the following families of window and patio door products, when purchased with a qualifying* ENERGY STAR glass package, meets the requirements as stated above.

This Certificate is intended to show that Alside Window and Patio Door Products are Eligible Building Envelope Components, homeowners should consult their tax advisor to determine whether they qualify for any potential income tax credits. Series will only qualify when used in a remodeling application.
