REHOMING PROCEDURE

Preparation Before Implementation:

1. Reports to be run before and after activity:

065 - (Adjacencies to Non-existing or Foreign Cells) 060 - (Adjacency discrepancies) 061 - (Non-Symmetrical Adjacencies)
2. Make the Rehoming sheets; make sure that all the Entries are correct.

NOTE: Verify that GTRX (TRX-MBCCH) must be Y. Dummy LAC must not be ZERO.
3. Make logs of the sites involved:

ZEEI : BCF = # ; //Site ZEOL : BCF# ; //Alarms ZDSB ::: PCM = ET# ; //Sig ZDTI ::: PCM = ET# ; //Sig ZERO : BCF = # ; //TCh ZEAO : SEG = # && # ; //Adjc ZEFO:BCF#:IOP; //Alarms ZECP; //CBCH ZEUO : BTS = # && # ; //Power ZEHO : BTS = # && # ; //HO ZEQO : BTS = # && # ; //BTS Info ZEWO : BCF# ; //SW ZYEI : ET, # ; //ET
4. Check the new ET in the new BSC, and put into Working-WO state. (ZUSI, ZUSC) 5. Copy the Old CBCH for further use after the site is rehomed to the new BSC. 6. Check ET Framing. (ZYEI :ET), Framing should be the same as the old ET. 7. Check MAL. (ZEBI) Old and new BSC must have same. 8. Check RAC. (ZEBP) Old and new BSC must have same. 9. Check BCF SW. (ZEWL) Old and new BSC must have same software.

10. From Splitting BSS tool (Operation), create the LAPDs. Make sure to select BCF(s) first. 11. Then from Splitting BSS tool (State), unlock the new LAPDs. Make sure that there should be no

errors. Check status details after each step. (Operation)

12. Once the Activity is confirmed / approved, Send the sheets to Network. (Operation)

Implementation:

1. Wait for OMU of the site to be in Working (WO) state in the new BSC now. 2. From Splitting BSS tool (State), lock the Old Site. Uncheck Forced Handover. 3. Update CI and LAC from Splitting BSS tool. (Operation) 4. On the BTS level, Update LAC (General) and enable GPRS (OPT-E/GPRS) from RNW tool. 5. Also Define NSEI (ZEBP) Sometimes automatically done when GPRS is enabled! 6. Unlock the New site from Splitting BSS tool. (State) 7. Then Move Site, Antenna & Additional Information from Splitting BSS tool. (Operation) 8. Once the site starts taking calls, make a ZEEI log for future reference. 9. Finally Delete the Old site from Splitting BSS tool (Operation) and Network Editor.

(Delete from DB also) NOTE: For reference, delete the old site after the rehoming is complete and the new site is fully functional.
10. Delete the Old LAPDs from NW from Splitting BSS tool (Operation).

In the old BSC, check LAPD status (ZDTI). Change the state of LAPDs (ZDTC) to ADaccess denied, unless the LAPD is already in RN-RECOV state.
11. Put the old ET to SE-NH. (ZUSC) 12. Clear Alarms list (ZACA) on old ET. 13. If CBCH is to be implemented on the sites, then enable the cell broadcasting after the activity. 14. Include EDGE parameters in the rehoming sheets if EDGE is also being implemented on the sites. 15. Create Views, Update MR and Working Set Manager and run Reports again after rehoming. 16. Check Alarms on the new site (ZEFO), also check the SW (ZEWO) 17. Update the Integration report (BSC IDs)
