Before School Interventions:

Increase Your Fluency to Read Naturally (Spring 2011) Through a grant I co-wrote and was award, I work with other teachers to provide Tier II learners with supplemental reading support in fluency 3 mornings a week before school. We use the Read Naturally program for this intervention. Navigate Your Way Through Math (Spring 2010) Through a grant I wrote and was awarded, I collaborated with another teacher in my building to provide Tier II learners with supplemental instruction 3 mornings a week before school. We used the Math Navigator program for this intervention.

Teaching with Poverty in Mind Year-long book study on Teaching with Poverty in Mind. Whats Different About Teaching Reading to Students Learning English Course focused on strategies for teaching reading to ELA learners. The Write Tools In-depth training on how to use The Write Tools curriculum program to increase K-5 learners writing skills. Making Meaning of Operations- In-depth mathematics course designed to help with the implementation of the Investigations curriculum programs. Using Data to Inform Instruction Course focused on sharing data from DRA2, DIBELS, and AimsWeb, and developing next-steps for instruction within classrooms.
