Classroom Assessment Accommodations- Provide extended time, allowed to answer questions orally, allow for short answer format, utilize multiple choice, read test to student, modify format, shorten length, administered by special education teacher, check for understanding, provide reminders on test (i.e. watch math signs), and allow the student to refer to notes/text.

4th Grade: NeSA Accommodations-Test read aloud (when applicable), extended time, option to answer question orally, multiple and/or frequent breaks, flexible testing schedule, alternate testing location (special education classroom) as necessary, and use of material/devices to problem solve or organize thoughts/responses (calculator, tables, formulas, spelling/grammar devices, visual organizers, personal dictionaries). TerraNova and Gates MacGinitie Accommodations- Extended time, alternate testing location, along with the following: Vocabulary- Directions only may be read to student Reading- Directions and test items may be read to the student Language- Directions and test items may be read to the student Spelling Part 1- Reader may read the sentence including the work that goes in the blank Spelling Part 2- Upon request, reader may read any word that is not underlined Math- Directions and test items may be read to the student, calculator can be used only on Part II Gates MacGinitie Accommodations- Directions and test items may be read to the student, extended time, and alternate testing location.
