This slouchy, comfy hat is the perfect project for that one skein of sock yarn that you just can't bear to put on your feet. Simply constructed of a wide ribbed brim that folds up for extra warmth, the rest flops and folds over.

Instructions: CO 144 sts with long-tail method. Pm for beg of rnd. Rnd 1+: work K2 P2 rib for 4 inches. Next: work in st st for 9 inches. Dec Rnds: Change to dpns when the sts become too tight on circs. Rnd 1: *K6, K2tog*; rep from * to * to end of rnd. Rnd 2-3: knit Rnd 4: *K5, K2tog*; rep from * to * to end of rnd. Rnd 5-6: knit Rnd 7: *K4, K2tog*; rep from * to * to end of rnd. Rnd 8-9: knit Rnd 10: *K3, K2tog*; rep from * to * to end of rnd. Rnd 11-12: knit Rnd 13: *K2, K2tog*; rep from * to * to end of rnd.
