INTRODUCTION: Dalda is the most leading brand in the Pakistan. Dalda launched the edible oil in the Pakistan year 1952. At that time Dalda was a part of UNI-LEVER PAKISTAN, but separation occur in August 2004 and then made a separate brand and it started the production at a separate platform DFL and now company is growing very rapidly as well as production is also increase and now Dalda has a unique identification and it is the first choice in every consumers mind. It is the homage for the company that it is obtained all certification like ISO certification ,SHE certification (Safety Health Environment ) and the most important that Dalda follows the all rules and regulation according to SHE rules . There are three brands of DFL i.e. DBP(Dalda Banaspati), DCO(Dalda Cooking Oil), PCO(Planta Cooking Oil) DCCO (Dalda Canola Cooking Oil) DOO (Dalda Olive Oil ) Manpasand, Tullo brands but there are 67 skus (sales keeping unit ) for consumer ,they can use any sku by own wish. It is very honor for the Dalda company that it is the only organization in Pakistan which is introduce to Dalda OliveOil . this brand is easily available into the market. Dalda is the first company in the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) .Dalda has also beaten the Nestle Milk Pak and Lever Brother . Dalda has a very bright vision like (5* 5) mean production level increase by 5 times in 5 years.

HUMAN RESOURCE
Human Resource is a back bone of any organization. The working of human Resource department is to maintain all check and balance and to accumulate the all information about the organization and about the employees. The head of the department is Inam Bari and the assistant manager is Samina Saif. HR department is responsible for recruitment and selection of the employees. It is also responsible for the training and development of the employees. If any employee is transferred region to region so it is responsible for travelling and accommodation and gives the full support financially . it is responsible of any announcement if it is mandatory and to issue the notices and to circulate the organization. It is also responsible to give the internship and to make the induction program. These are the responsibilities of HR department and they fulfill the responsibilities very effectively and efficiently.

MARKETING
Marketing department is very important department in any organization. The head of the department is Usama khan and the Group brand manager is Ms Shumaila. Dalda, Tullo, Planta. It is responsible for the services, to co-ordinate the marketing department to advertising department. It is responsible to launch the product but following points keep in a mind;

Marketing is basically a customer sale , first to research in the market what is the requirement of the market and what is the requirement of the customer and after research it identify which type of product is required to fulfill the customer need and then to make the mind for launching that product. There are different ways for launching the product but every organization use the media; it is the major tool for launching and promotion of the product.

There are two types of advertisement;

Tactical ads It is a very short term ads, basically this type of ads just to give the awareness about the product to the consumers rapidly and to attract the consumer instantly to use it.

Thematic ads It is a long term ads, basically this type of ads just to give the awareness about the product to the consumer gradually and consumer use the product very long time.

CSD
CSD stands for customer services department ,there are 20 worker comprise in this department basically this department interconnected with distributors.

The working of CSD departments are ;


Collection of receipt from regional office. DBR (demand base replenishment). Enumerate to distributors. Dispatch planning Sales invoices Deals with the claim of distributors. Payment of the customers. Stock checking

SALES
Sales department is very important department in any organization, it play a very important role. It is responsible for increase the production; increase the profit, reaching the product into the market.

There are two types of sales;

Primary sale Secondary sales

PRIMARY SALE ; Primary sale means when company gives the product to the distributer, we can also say that first hand.

SECONDARY SALE; Secondary sale means company gives the stock of the product to the distributer and then distributer is responsible to reaching the product into the market. We can say that distributer play a middle man role between company and the market. Company market distributer

The director of the sales region is Muhammad Rabbani and NSM (National Sales Manager) is Safdar Malik and the whole country is distributed into 6 region are as follow; Karachi Islamabad Lahore Multan Sukkur Rawalpindi

Now sukkur region is newly initiated it comprise of three areas like , Quetta area Sukkur area Hyderabad area

Every region has RSM (Regional Sales Manager), ROM (Regional Operational Manager), ASM (Area Sales Manager), TSO (Territory sales Officer) and distributors.

Every region has different sales target and RSM of every region is responsible to achieve the target and he distributes the total target into different ASM into his region. RSM evokes the meeting of ASM weekly bases and to know the progress of the sales as well as targets. ASM also evokes the meeting of TSO. ASM and TSO give the full concentration the availability of the product with different skus in every shops, in every markets because consumer easily purchase Dalda product without any hurdle.

Finance department play a very vital role in an organization. It keeps the all records of the accounting. The financial accounting is to maintain the fixed asset, debtor, creditor, preparation of the budget, maintain the fixed asset register, bank reconciliation, to maintain the accounts books. It is also maintain the cost of purchasing material, cost of consuming material, costs of packaging materials, and cost of different brand of skus.

The main function of this department is;

Maintain the history costing Management accounting Financing Advance payment voucher

It is also responsibility to maintain the payment and recoveries of following are; Purchasing order Salaries Taxes GST Raw materials

It is the rule of the organization that to do business in advance payment , first distributer give the advance payment and then stock dispatch for the distributer, It is very beneficial for the organization system.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
This department plays a very prominent role for making the product and to assure the product is very hygienic and also give the satisfaction to the consumer that to use Dalda product without any hesitation. The manager of this department is Muhammad Tariq and Assistant manager is Salman Hanif. The main purpose of this department is to maintain the quality product at any how thats why Dalda make a specific perception into the consumer mind. Most of the organization focuses the quality control (QC) but Dalda foods gives the focus on both quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA). The prominent discrimination between QA and QC is that; QC; Quality Control just to check the quality before making the product and after making the product. QA; Quality Assurance assures the quality of the product each and every steps of the production. PROCESS Before making the product this department check the raw material and raw oil if it is fulfill the benchmark of the quality assurance department so it is pass for the another steps if it is not because of any reason so it is not go for further process, so it is a very big responsibility of this department and they fulfill the job very active and efficiently. During production it is also check the quality level in both ways like physical and chemical aspect; In physical aspect they check the taste, color, smell, packaging material. In chemical aspect they check the (FFA, MP, and SMP). After making the product it is also check randomly of any tin any pouch either the product maintain the product as we want if yes so they give the clearance .

TIN CHECKING

First we check the hardness or temper of the sheet through hardness meter. We check the shape of the tin. We also check the seeming by willco. We check the bottom of the tin sheet. We also check the flanges. It is most important to check the standard weight and lid.

ENGINEERING STORES
It is also very important department in this organization. The head of this department is Asif Hamza .Engineering stores comprise all tools, all experts that to resolved the problem on immediate bases. The especial function is to control the boiler, cooling tower and provide spare parts if mandatory. They manage all work engineering type in organization, if any problem occur in the boiler and if to supply the water at any stage in the condense form so they are responsible to provide it.

MATERIAL STORES
The main function of this store is to accumulate the information about the stock and also save the stocks that to enter in the material store after making the stocks. This is the final stock that to enter in the storage store. Storage store follow the guideline of MSDC (Material Safety Data Sheet ) it comprise on expiry date on all relevant information because it is very much important that it is follow the FIFO rules means (First In First Out ) means those stock that to firstly enter in the storage house it will dispatch on top basis, sometime company follow LIFO rules (Last In First Out) means those stock that to enter lastly but it will be dispatch on firstly but it is very rare case and it can be happen only those cases when the expiry date will be very less. The additional responsibility is to control the inventory; manager must have to check the opening and closing stock in the stores.

BUYING/ PLANNING
It is very important role of this department because this department concerned with the buying material like (flavor, recipe, chemicals, ingredients, spare parts of machinery, packaging material and all stuff that to buying from others. The buying of any thing has definite rules which is making by company and this department must have to follow these rules. Some of rules are as follows; All quality parameter must be satisfied.

Supplier must be financially salubrious.


To check the raw material.

To check the packaging material. Good quality stationary and printing.

REFINERY
The responsibility of this department is very important. This department is totally base manufacturing the product. There are two types of refining:
Physical

Chemical The technical department is as follow;

EXPERIENCE:
I have completed the internship with the working of KARA trader at about 1 month and 2 weeks under the guidance of ASM Raheel. I am very please that I learnt so many things which will be very helpful and profound, lavish in my career. During the internship period I learnt that how to communicate the shopkeeper, how to enforce the shopkeeper for purchasing and keeping the different skus in the shops. I learnt what is the market behavior at different areas and what is the Dalda demand and progress, is every shopkeeper want to keep the Dalda in the shops or not ? I put so much strive that to gain maximum knowledge in a short time. It is my personal observation about the Manpasand that it is a very good brand of the Dalda and it is the best competitor to the another brand like Meezan, Sufi and Kisan but problem is that people dont have awareness and mostly they dont know that it is the Dalda brand. I must say that here DSR play a very important role in this type of a condition but DSR dont give the proper sales call and also dont give the call of Manpasand so I think here is a prominent lacking thats why Manpasand is not very much flourish in the market and not making a prominent position in the market. Consumer doesnt give the attention of Manpasand and they give the preference of other product like Meezan and Sufi. During the visit of the market I used to talk with the shopkeeper about the Manpasand but mostly they didnt have complete awareness and complete knowledge about the Manpasand so how shopkeeper can sale it because there is so much confusion in shopkeepers mind. Kindly put the especial attention on this side and to make mandatory that DSR give complete call on every shops. It is a very good experience and I am very gratitude that Dalda give me opportunity that to do internship here and to making a bright future. I would like to special thanks of ASM Farrukh Siddiqui and ROM Majid Khan they guide me very much in every step of the learning process, they are very cooperative. According to my observation RSM Nadeem Bukhari is a very good and amiable leader . He guides very much in his team in a very excellent manner to achieve the best results. Especially Sir Rabbani is an excellent leader, he has a wide range of knowledge, and he gives full attention

of his region, also gives the full time into the company. He comes at 8 oclock sharp and goes back late night. Most of the time I have seen him that he visited into the market with ASM even TSO into his bike. I had never seen before this that the director of the any company visit into the market with the TSO into his bike so it is a good sign for the sales department that the director is very cooperative and friendly . I would like to add here the ambience of the sales region is very friendly; all are very cooperative with the internees and helping them in a very best possible manner. It is the very first time that I work in any organization but I am very complacent and feel very proud that I work in the very reputable organization. InshaAllah this internship plays a very vital role in my career and getting the eminent position in the career of my life. I wish and pray from the God that this company go flourish and prosperous year by year and get eminent position ,because the Dalda sales team is very motivated, all are very talented , energetic they have a complete grip into the market . Dalda has a prominent position into the market. This year Dalda has achieved 2.5 lakh ton it is a big achievement and my best wishes with the company.
