Jennifer Pinches ~ Future Star of British Gymnastics

Jennifer, known as Jenni to her team mates, started gymnastics at the age of 6 and moved to the City Of Liverpool gymnastics club in 2006 at the age of 12. She has been on the national team since 2003 and

competed at the 2008 Junior Europeans and the 2010 World

Championships. She placed 8th AA at the junior Europeans and won her first World Cup series medal in her debut year as a senior winning a bronze on the floor at the 2010 Glasgow Grand Prix. She is a bright prospect for the future and is working towards the 2012 Olympics in London

After her long time coach Tracey Kerr left Fromeside to go to The Academy run by ex-Fromeside coach Liz Kincaid, Jem decided that she wanted to remain under Tracey's guidance and also made the move, along with a number of team mates. This move was just days before the British Levels Championships, testament to Jennifer's unshakable mental attitude.

2005 and 2006 were tough years for Jennifer when injuries & illness plagued her competition schedule. Due to her father being transferred up north for work, the Pinches family re-

located to Cheshire, and Jem now trains at the world-renowned

Liverpool gymnastics club, along side world-champion and Jem's mentor, Beth Tweddle. Liverpool has proved an excellent environment for Jennifer and she has continued to improve in her gymnastics work.
