Section 6- 13 3/8-in Intermediate Casing Interval

13. The combined string, casing and landing string buoyed weight will be
407-kips (without the top drive).
14. Build spacers while running the casing.
15. Land the 13 5/8-in hanger in the wellhead profile. A weight loss of 70,000
lbs should be observed. This weight loss will be immediately regained when
the actuating plungers on the actuator sleeve engage the wellhead housing.
SO all casing string weight while holding the weight of the running string.
SO an additional 15-Klb of the running string weight.
16. After landing out Casing Hanger, begin pumping to close Diverter. With 2-
1/4" ball on seat in Diverter Sub, pressure up to 1-,000 psi and hold for 2
minutes. Continue to increase pump pressure until ball yields seat at 2,400
to 2,800 psi .
17. Stop pumping and let the 2 1/4" ball fall to the ATC Dual Plug system
where it will land in a yieldabie seat. Pressure up to 500 psi to test landing
string and Diverter for integrity. Continue to increase pressure until seat
yields at 2,400 psi . This will launch the 3 Yz" OD ball from the ATC Dual
Plug system.
18 Circulate the 3-1 /2" bal l down to the float coll ar and activate same.(which
may not be seen due to its low shear pressure). Start pumping tO
convert the float collar at 5 to 8-bpm (500 to 700-psi) per Weatherford's
reCOlllmend:ations.
. .
19. Circulate condition drilling fluid for the cement job.
drculating at reduced rates until gels is broken to reduce potential losses). If
possible stage P,umps up to cement displacement rate.

1.: .Hold a pre-job safety meeting with all personnel involved in the cementing
Ensure that everyone is clear on their specific task.
2. RU and test the lines to 5,000-psi. Pump the spacer as per the Halliburton
cementing program.
3. Launch the Btm ATC DP Dart (2.375" OD). When this dart leaves the
cement head we will see a 1900-2200 psi pressure increase as the dart exits
the Positive Launch Indicator Sub (PLI).
The minimum dis lacement rate on both darts is 5-b m at all times.

4. l\IIix and pump the cement slurry as per the recommended cementing
program (any adjustments to the program will be provided prior to
cementing operations).
Cement volumes assume a 17 V2-in hole.
5. Take frequent density measurements, with pressurized mud scales, of the
slurry from the mixing tub during the job. Take samples for visual
inspection spaced out during the cement job. Set aside and label the
samples.
Note: Ensure that the cement volume meets the minimum required cement volume in
the APD.
6. Launch the Top ATC DP Dart (2.50" OD) with about 5-bbl of cement left
to pump. When this dart leaves the cement head we Will again see a 2200-
2600 psi pressure increase as the exits th.e PLl.
7. Ensure that the cement unit has the correct scale on the CemWIN to record
plug shear and bump. Total displacement yolume is to be based on
callipered ID mud and the actual plug shear event.
8. Continue displacement with 10.4-ppg SOBM at the designed rate.
9. Approx. 5 bbls prior to the Btm dart reaching the ATC Diverter Sub, slow
the pump rate to 5 bpm. The pressure required to yield the seat in the
Diverter with the DP dart should range from 1800-2200 psi above the
circulating rate.
10. After yielding the seat, continue to pump the Btm DP Dart down to the Btm
Wiper Plug. The bottom diill pipe dart will release the Bottom Wiper Plug
at I800 to 2,400-psi above circulating pressure. After the Bottom Plug is
released; continue With the displacement.
11. Approx. 5 bbls prior to the Top dart reaching the ATC Diverter Sub slow
the pump rate to 5 bpm. The pressure required to yield the seat in the
Diverter with the Dp dart should range from 2100-2500 psi above the
circulating rate.
12. After yielding the seat, continue to pump the Top DP Dart down to the Top
Wiper Plug. The Top drill pipe dart will release the Top plug at 2,400 to
2,800-psi above circulating pressure. After the Top plug is released,
continue with the displacement at the recommended rates. Refer to the
Cement Program for ECDs.
13. Due to volume of 13-5/8" casing, pump at maximum pump rate practical.
Rig pumps to take over cement displacement after cement unit ki cks out the
last dart.

14. Bump the Btm Wiper Plug on the Landing Collar without slowi ng the
pump rate.
The Btm ATC Wiper Plug will shift to circulate with 800-1 ,200 psi above
circulating pressure, IF the cement column does not mask this differential.
15. Continue di splacing 'at the maximum displacement rate. When the Top
Wiper Plug reaches the Landing Coll ar bump the plugs with 500 psi above
the background circulati ng pressure. The plugs
rotate together.
Recommended Well Control considerations while running this equipment and
the subsea casing:
If the fillups are marginal, there are two options:
1. Convert the auto-fill float equipment to a positive float shoe and run the
subsea casing conventionally.
2. Run a 2-1/4" drop ball in place in t he ATC Oiverter Sub to minimize the
time required to close the tool. With a 2-114" drop ball on the seat, if
you observe any type of increased returns while running the drllpi pe,
stop running the drillpipe and screw the top drive into the drillstri ng.
Commence pumping. It should take 20 to 30 strokes to pressure up on
the ball to close the diverter sub and then blow the ball.
Recommended Displacement " Opportunities":
Notes: To have a greater chance to bump the plug on the float collar:
1. Caliper 50 jts of the casing with Tri-mic's to determine a more accurate
10 (do not use mill or book specs).
2. Develop a compression table from 250 psi to 3,000 psi (250 psi
increments) to have a better understanding of compressibility and its
effects on displacement volume.
3. Rig pump efficiency should be factored in at about 94% of the book
published volume.
4. If plugs don' t bump note the displacement calculati on/rational for
terminating displacement and calculated TOC inside the 13 3/8-in
casing and anticipated footage of cement in the shoe track
If getting good returns and a positive pump pressure indi cation
that cement is rounding the shoe, allow for Yz compressibilit y
volume + Yz shoe track volme for Max displacement vol ume.

Section 6- 13 3/8-in Intennediate Casing Interval
If losing returns and not seeing any pumping pressure increase
during cement placement, then you cannot accurately calculate
compressibility. When returns are lost, default to pumping a
Max of Yz shoe track volume for Max displacement volume.
Whenever you attempt to wash-down, you have a greater chance of sticking
subsea casing with additional ECD or creating a packing off problem due to
the cuttings bed you are pushing.
All pup joints and cross-overs must be free of "bore-backs" or square
shoulders (less than 1/8" transition) and must have high angle tapers to the 10
from the root thread in the box. Tapers should be at least 30 degrees. Give
special attention to the TIW valve below the Cement head to prevent hanging-
up the DP dart during displacement. A "dart bushing" on top of the valve
assembly is essential for transitioning the dart cleanly.
16. Shutdown, bleed off, and check the fl oats. Bleed back no more than 5-bbl.
lfthe floats fail, re-pump the bled back volume and Wait on Cement
(WOC) for a minimum of 6-hours, check lab results) while holding back
pressure (use actual cement test andsurface samples to make the decision
on how long to hold back pressure).
17. Bleed the pressure trapped above the Inside Blow Out Preventer (IBOP) in
top drive, and open the IBOP to the trip tank.
18. RD the cementing hoses.
19. Complete tlie PTMS cementing report for the 13 3/8-i n casing.

21. Set 20,000-lbs down and rotate to the right 5 rums: the running tool wi ll
drop approximately 10-inches setting the seal assembly.
22. Break circulation and test the choke li ne to 10,000-psi .
23 . With the stack open, develop the choke line pressure/volume relationship by
pressurizing the choke line against a closed fai l-safe valve.
24. Verify space out. Close the pipe rams and pressure-test the seal assembly by
building pressure quickly to 1,500-psi (Do not exceed the 20-in Casing Test
Pressure) or to the Dril-Quip recommended test pressure with the drill pipe
full and open to the atmosphere as per Dril-Quip procedures. To avoid
casing 13 3/ 8-in collapse or 20 " burst, do not pump more than indicated by
the above pressure test.
25. After successful completion ofthe 1 ,500-psi test, test the seal assembly and
wellhead connector to 6,500-psi ,(equivalent to initial planned BOP test
pressure), as per Dnl-Quip procedures.
26. PU approximately 8-ft to get the equalizer sub above the hanger, set the
running tool back into the hanger, and retest the seal assembly to 6,500-psi
for 5 minutes as per Dril Quip procedures.
Note: If time is an issue in delaying the BOP test until the TIH with the upcoming
BHA then the BOP test can be conducted against the Drii-Quip Seal Assembly.
27. Circulate bottoms up and POOH with the Casing Hanger Running Tool
28. PU and RIH with 12 V4-in bit and rotary steerable BRA. (13 5/8 selectable
wear sleeve). (For BHA details, see the BHA section). Record the PU/SO
weights.
13 5/8 selectable wear sleeve should be run in the BHA and will not to
retrieved on initial trip out. It is planned to be retrieved duri ng planned
wiper trip after wireline logging operations.
Test the blind/shear rams and casing while Till. The casing and shear
rams will be tested to 2,400-psi (assuming 10.4-ppg mud and 9,000-ft
T\I'D casing setting depth). Adjust test pressure according to actual mud
weight and casing setting depth. Confirm test pressures per APD.
Ensure WOC time has been at least t 2-hours pri or to testing casing.
29. Land the selectable wear sleeve and shear out.
30. TTH until the 5 1/2-in drill pipe is across the BOP stack. and test the BOP if
needed.
31 . TIH and tag cement

32. Initiate D-5 well control drills and ensure that all personnel are in
compliance with Sub Part "0" prior to drilling out the float equipment and
the shoe. Document the drills on the IADC report and in DIMS.
Notes: For drilling float equipment, see Weatherford's recommended
procedure.
33. Drill out cement, float equipment and the shoe track. Clean out rathole and
drill 10-ft of new formation. Watch for enlarged hole/cement sheaths
immediately below the 13 3/8-in casing. Circulate one bottoms up or unti l
shaker screens are clean to condition mud. Obtain downhole ESDs pri or to
performing LOT.
34. Perform the LOT as per standardized BP procedures. Close the annular or
pipe ram and perform the LOT. Target is 12.4-ppg EMW. (Acceptable
minimum LOT to drill ahead without squeezing is 11.8-ppg EMW). Obtain
the maximum downhole ESD after the LOT' and record.
Notes:
Record . LOT in the standard format and fax/email to Houston on
completion of the test. Obtain LOT utilizing the rate (per BP
standard 'LOT procedure).
