Revit Architecture 2009 Licensing and Activation Information
Revit Architecture 2009 software licensing and activation information can be found in the Read This First link (RTF-Revit Architecture 2009.pdf) included in the DVD media or can also be downloaded from the Revit Architecture Product Download web page.

Installing the Revit Architecture 2009 software

This document will show you the typical step by step procedure when performing the standard standalone installation on an individual workstation. For more information on how to Create Deployments, please refer to the Revit Architecture 2009 Help documentation and search for topics - Network Deployment Installation.

1. Click Install Products.

2. On the Installation Wizard Welcome screen, click Next.

3. Check Revit Architecture 2009, and then click Next.

4. Choose your Country or Region. Make sure you read the License Agreement and click I Accept to continue the installation, or I Reject to cancel the installation. Then click Next.

5. This screen allows you to either accept the preset install configuration or configure your install. If the preset configuration visible in the Current settings screen does not reflect your needs, click on the Configure button, otherwise you can go to step #11.

6. In this screen, you can select the Language and Default Units. You can also change the installation folder. The default is C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2009\. To change the location, click the Browse button or type in the field under Set the installation folder:, otherwise click Next to continue.

7. This screen allows you to download and install content for Revit Architecture 2009. We recommend you keep the default content and path. In this and the previous screens you will get information about the space requirements for the downloadable content. Click Next to continue.

8. When prompted to Select the License Type, depending on the type of license you initially purchase or subscribe, choose Stand-alone or Network license accordingly. Click Next to continue. a. If you choose Stand-alone license, please go directly to step #9. b. If you choose Network license, please go to steps #8a.

8a. If you choose Network license, select the license server model: Single License Server, Distributed License Server or Redundant License Server. Once selected, enter the name of the server that will run the Network license. Click Next to continue. Note: For more information on how to setup the Network license server, please refer to the Revit Architecture 2009 Help documentation and search for topics - Network License Server Setup.

9. For Standalone or Network license, enter your serial number. Then, click Next to continue. Note: For more information about licensing and activation, please refer to the Read This First link (RTF-Revit Architecture 2009.pdf) which is included in the DVD media or can also be downloaded from the Revit Architecture Product Download web page.

10. Click Configuration Complete. It redirects you back to the Review Configure Install dialog screen

12. Revit Architecture 2009 starts to install.

13. Click Finish after the installation is complete.
