Print Options The mugs are printed by dye-sublimation: the image is first printed using special inks onto a carrier paper and then transferred by a heat process to the ceramic surface. (1).At the very beginning, please put a ceramic tile covered by a clean and wet cloth on the worktable.
(2).Drop some transparent glue on the crystal.
(3).Stick the film of the photo side to the crystal.
(4).Spread the glue slightly by a ruler. Please make sure no bubbles.
(5).Turn on the crystal solidification machine and put the crystal in.
(6).Set the time to be 4 minutes. If the crystal is big, set the time longer.
(7).It will alarm after five or six minutes, then turn off the timer and the lamps and take the crystal out.
(8).Erase the overflowing glue with clean paper or cloth. Then trim the crystal along the crystal edges.
(9).Tear off the thin cover of the film.
(10). Smoothen the edges of the crystal at 45 angles with a sharp knife.
(11).Put the crystal on the ceramic board horizontally, stick the same shape glass sheet to the crystal slightly. Please note that dont press the crystal by hand too much.
(12).Put the crystal with glass sheet into the machine. After 2 minutes, take it out and clean it. Again put it into the machine, 7 minutes later, take it out. Finish.

The color of the image will not affect the chemical reaction, highly transparent, so the color will stay for life long time without image fading. 4. Photo Crystal Operating Process within a Computer Step 1. Open the photo soft and click File New and then in the dialogue box set the width and height according to the crystal ( square crystal 6cm8cm, use the rule to measure and set the size according to the crystal), finally click OK. (Resolution of 350 pixels / inch, RGB mode) As shown in the picture 1
Step 2. In the "File" menu, click open and choose a image that is scanned into the computer or already in the computer. Step 3. Click move tools, then press and hold down the left mouse button to drag the image onto the new canvas. As shown in the picture 2

Step 4. Click the "free transform" in the "Edit" menu ( or press CTRL+T directly), then eight small boxes will appear around the image. Hold down the Shift and Alt, then move the mouse to the top-left corner of the image, finally press and hold down the left mouse button to adjust the size of the image and move it to the proper position. (When
adjusting the size, it is better to maximize the image.) As shown in the picture 3 Step 5. There is a triangle button in the layer palette. Open it and click Merge Visible. Step 6. Place the transparent film to the printer. ( The more viscous side is the right side for printing.) Step 7. Click File menu and choose printing options page setup properties. Set the mass velocity to be 12002400dpi or extra best(according to different printer), paper setting to be photo paper, the size to be A4 210297mm , and the print ion to be portrait printing. Click OK and then set the middle image to be the size you had measured. As shown in the picture 4
Step 8. Click Print to start printing. Special Notes: The printer must be EPSON ink-jet printer. R210 or R310 and original cartridges are recommended. 5Manufacture Methods of Photo Crystal with Easy-to-do Film Step 1. Process the selected image and print it out onto the easy-to-do film. The easy-to-do film should be dry and you can dry it with a hair dryer. During this whole process, the film should be dry. As shown in the following pictures:
Step 2. Cut out the image from the whole piece of easy-to-do film. Clean the prepared crystal and drop some photo crystal glue on it. Stick the right side of the film onto the surface of crystal. When the surface is fully covered with glue, start to adjust the image. If there are some bubbles, please use a rule or cardboard to remove them. As shown in the following pictures:
Step 3. Place the crystal stuck with images into the crystal solidification machine. There may be some glue left under the photo crystal, so please put a wet cloth under the photo crystal to prevent the photo crystal from sticking to the crystal solidification machine. 3-5 minutes(if the crystal is big, it can be longer) later, take the photo crystal out of the machine.
Step 4. After taking out the photo crystal, trim the film slightly along the crystal edge with a knife (retain the thin membrane cover of the film). After finishing all these, use the knife to clean out the unnecessary solidified glue all round the crystal (at the same time of trimming, clean the crystal) to make the surface of crystal more smooth and beautiful. During the whole process, the knife should be tilted against the crystal surface.
Special notes for trimming along the crystal edge: the knife should be forced to the same direction, and do trim exactly along the polished edge of the crystal. Step 5. After trimming, tear off the thin membrane cover of the film and place it into the crystal solidification machine again to make the film 100% hard in about 20 minutes. Finish!
6. Notes for Photo Crystal Production Process 1.Tell from the right and wrong side. The right side is viscous and used to print. 2.Keep the right side clean and out of dilapidation. 3.Check the printing nozzle before printing the image to avoid some color mistakes. 4.Choose high-quality and high-resolution to print and the paper should be photo paper. 5.Before solidification, double check and remove the bubbles. 6.When trimming, the knife should be tilted against the crystal surface about 45 angles and vigor should be balanced. 7.To ensure a long service life of the crystal solidification machine, do not turn on and off the lights in the machine too often, please turn off for 10 minutes before turn it on again. 7. Frequently Asked Questions, Faults and Solutions for Photo Crystal How to preserve the films and glues? When making the photo crystal, there are two important materials: film and photo crystal glue. The quality of these two materials will directly affect the quality of the photo crystal. Films preservation: On the film, there is a special coating which will soak up water, therefore please keep the films in
the proper temperature away from moisture. Films can not placed in the high temperature or sun exposure, which will lead to premature separation of the coating. Films are packed in a sealed plastic bag, so please seal the bag after using. Photo crystal glue preservation: Photo crystal glue is solidified under the effects of lights, so before using , please keep it away from lights. Use black bottles to pack the glue and after using do remember to close it. There is a certain amount of harmful ingredients in the glue, remember to wash the places where the glue is with hand sanitizer. Keep it in the dark places and out of reach of children. How tell the right side(printable side) from the wrong side? 1.Dip some water with hands and touch the film slightly --the ring side is viscous. 2.Take out the film and put it naturally in the hands the up-warped side is the right side. 3.Breathe out on the film, the side that becomes foggy is not the right side, not printable . This is the easiest method. Techniques for Sticking Photo Crystal To remove the bubbles is the most important part of sticking photo crystal. 1.Quality of the glue: it must be the special glue for photo crystal. The common cheaper glue will not have bubbles in a short period, however, after some time it will still have bubbles. So do use the special glue for the photo crystal. 2. The way to drop glue: This is the frequent fault made by new learners. Drop the glue by making a cross and do remember to avoid bubbles. When putting the glass sheet on the crystal, press it slowly from the edge to the center, not from the top to the button. Gently shake the glass by hand, so that the glue can spread all around the glass sheet. If there are some bubbles, pick up the glass sheet and then press it by hand slightly to remove it until there is no bubbles. Notes for Solidification Crystal is stuck by the special glue and flashed out in the lights of crystal solidification machine for 2 to 3 minutes. If the crystal is bigger, maybe 5 minutes. During solidification, it is better to place a cardboard under the crystal. If the crystal and the cardboard are stuck together, it does not matter, just wet it and get them separated. If it is a wooden card, it will a little difficult to get them separated, so paper or cloth card is recommended. Of course, you can put the crystal in the machine by hand directly, but take care of your hands. It will be troublesome, if your hands are stuck with the crystal. Put the crystal under the lights of crystal solidification machine about 3 to 6 cm with the film up for about 10 to 15 minutes. 4.After solidified, clean and trim along the crystal. Then again put the 5975 photo crystal glue on the film , stick the back of the second image on to the film. Use a cardboard to flatten the film until the glue spills over. Put the crystal into the crystal solidification machine. 5 to 8 minutes later, take it out and trim it. Finish! Notes: Better to solidify the crystal three times: Drop the 5975 photo crystal glue, stick the glass sheet onto the surface of the film with the glue and then put the crystal into the machine for the third time of solidification. In this way, the surface of the image is better protected.

1Choosing a photo
1>Photo requirements: The photo should be taken by at least three million pixel cameras with soft light. And there should not be any shadow or highlight contrast on the face which should be in proportion of the whole picture about two fifths. Besides, the face should be positive and unabridged, without collar, hat, or other things blocking. Caution: It is not recommended using the photos from computer or mobile phone cameras. 2>Ways to get photos a.Customers provide b.Photograph the customers on the spot Caution: While photographing the customers, pay attention to the light and shadow, catch the most beautiful moment.
2Cutting the photo with Photoshop
1>Open the photo in the Photoshop
2>Choose Cut bottom and cut the face from the picture. Caution: While cutting, there should be some space left for editing. The line boundary and the chin should be parallel by rotating the angle.
3> Press Enter and finish the cutting process.
4> Open a new file with wide 4cm, height 4.5cm and resolution 300.
5>After opening a new file, click Select All, and then Layer New Layer. 6>Click Edit Stroke (build up a referenced frame) 7>Click Image Canvas Size (wide and height: 5*5.5cm) 8>Put the new file and the prepared picture together, left click the prepared picture and drag it to the new file.
9> Place the layer under the reference line layer: press Layer Send Backward 10> After dragging the file, choose Zoom in the Edit sidebar to zoom the cut picture. The photo must meet the following conditions: the forehead should be close to upper edge of the referenced frame, the chin should be close to lower edge of the referenced frame and the cheeks should be close to the left and right edges.
11> Hide the referenced line layer: click the eyes-like icon
12> Save as JPEG or JPG
3Printing the photo There are many ways to print the photos after cutting. Here take Canon IP880 for example. 1>Choose the prepared photo in Photoshop
2>Click: FilePrint PreviewPage Setup Size. The size is 4*6 in 10*15cm. As for the Top, make it 2cm.
3>Set up the property: Page Setup Printer Property. Click Enter to print. Caution: Print with the honed side of the paper.
4Laminate and heating machine Laminate The three-dimensional face is easy to wear out, so it is important to laminate the waterproof material on it.
Put in the machine which will forming it with heating Put the film into the machine to soften about 30s.
Caution: the heating machine is hot, be careful to be burn. Turn off the heating machine and start to stereo type. To make sure the face is three-dimensional, the nose should be in the precise position. Finish Cut out the face and put it into the doll.
