NEWS AND REPORT

Lifeline
2010-12
Why should I live? I thought when my doctor told me that I have only 6 months to live with HIV. My granddaughter, pregnant daughter, and I came to ACCEPT without much expectation. When we came here, we were surprised that everyone accepted us and nobody showed any discrimination. I always thought, How can they love and care like this? I had no idea that there was a Creator God who loves me. My hopeless life is now filled with hope as I came to know the Lord Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I am happy because I have the assurance that I am forgiven. The 6 months have extended to almost 7 years. God also gave me a job at ACCEPT serving people with similar problems. By Gods grace, through the daily devotions at ACCEPT and the Agape assembly fellowship, I am learning much more. Now I have two grandchildren born HIV negative who are well cared for by another ministry. My daughter and I are living together outside the ACCEPT campus and grateful to the Lord for ACCEPT ministry. Shared by Mother and daughter

NOW WE HAVE A REASON TO LIVE

One of our Volunteers with our children

I WANT TO LIVE
My wife and I came from North Karnataka to Bangalore with our one-year-old son, with no hope, no money and nobody to help. My family members rejected me due to my HIV. I came to ACCEPT with much reluctance, not knowing whether we would be accepted. I had many problems in my life, though I looked good on the outside. My conscience was pricking me, as I led a sinful life. Even here, my wife and I attempted suicide in the beginning. Thank God He had a different plan for our life. Initially, I was angry and had many questions about the Word of God preached here daily. Slowly I understood through Scriptures that all my good works and religious deeds are filthy rags before a Holy God. I understood the love of God through the messages and a chart that explained mans heart. Soon my wife and I accepted the Lord Jesus and slowly we could see the changes in our life though we had many struggles. Death is no more a fear but a door to eternity with God. Today I am happy, because of HIV I came to ACCEPT and found my Lord and Savior. We are encouraged by the fellowship at Agape Assembly and the opportunity to serve people as staff through ACCEPT ministry. Shared by a family

Nagpur ACCEPT Handed Over

ACCEPT started a small extension service in Nagpur in 2009. We have been managing the ministry from Bangalore with the help of an advisory committee and a small staff team of five people. Over these years, it has helped over 1000 patients and their families. We were also able to share the love of Christ through our deeds and words to all who came. Since it was difficult to manage the ministry from Bangalore, we were looking for an assembly to take over the managing and running of the centre. Christian Brethren Assembly, Civil Lines, Nagpur came forward and we turned over the ministry to them on Nov. 1st 2011. Kindly pray for the local assembly who is taking this responsibility and extend all the support to carry on the ministry. We want to extend our thanks to our staff who worked there, the advisory committee members who helped us, and Br. Josh who worked as a coordinator there.

Once again this year on Dec 1st, World AIDS Day, we were able to bring HIV/AIDS awareness to the surrounding community. With the help of nursing students in the area, staff and residents of ACCEPT, and other guests we participated in a rally which stretched about 2kms walk and ended on the ACCEPT premises. With everyone at ACCEPT and two MLAs present we were able to give a report about ACCEPT and talk about the services available at ACCEPT. Many of the locals were able to hear Vijays testimony and were touched. We also used this time to bring about awareness on the road situation. With many NGOs on our road, we wanted to stress the need to fix the current condition of the road. The MLAs gave speeches and the colleges involved presented choreographies and skits to bring about awareness as well. With more than 800 people involved on that day it was a huge success. we would like to thank our Lord for His faithfulness in our lives and this ministry. Sunday School Annual The children from ACCEPT home were able to take part in Agape Christian Assemblies Sunday School Annual. The children had a wonderful time performing skits, songs and verses. They are well versed in many scripture passages and know many songs. To see these children do well knowing some of their difficult backgrounds is a joy and cause for praising the Lord for His love for these precious children. We have produced a documentary on the children at Accept. Kindly see that on our website. We do hope some believing families will come forward to give these children an opportunity to live with them as foster children. Contact us if you need any information on that.

Road to ACCEPT The government has promised to fix the road leading to ACCEPT. We praise the Lord that the work has been started and hopefully will be finished in the coming months. Land Issue The local MLAs have promised to help in the land issue. TheGovernment is claiming that part of the land we bought from a private party belongs to them. Continue to pray for this matter to be solved in favor of Accept so we may continue the work which is helping many. Board Members Needed: We welcome any ministry minded believers from different assemblies to join as board members. Please pray about this as well. New Staff We would like to welcome some new staff on board. Vivin, Bindhu, Joel, Rajesh Chathan, and Kala Mary. Thank you for your service and dedication to ACCEPT.

We should always be aware of the fact that today could be the last day of our life in this world For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time, and then vanishes away James 4:14. Preacher says A time to be born, and a time to die. We are also told that God has also set eternity in their heart Eccl.3:11. Serving people with HIV/AIDS and seeing many die at a young age (about 500 deaths in Accept since it started in 2002 at the hospice), one may think that such a short life is only for people with similar medical problems. But God tells us in His Word that no matter the length of life here on earth, it is like a vapour. Even if one lives to be one hundred, it is a vapour in light of eternity. We should always be aware of the fact that today could be the last day of our life in this world. Tomorrow, our dear ones may be arranging our funeral service. Will this possibility change our priority? May the Lord help us to see the frailty of our life here and the reality of an eternity we have to live after death. As believers in the Lord, life here is a training time for reigning with the Lord. May we not miss the opportunity of eternal benefits by entangling ourselves in the world and loving perishing, temporal things. God has given man an eternal perspective, so that he can look beyond the routine of life. Let us invest into eternal things: peoples salvation, sharing the gospel, praying for Gods servants, giving to genuine workers, encouraging those on the field, visiting and seeing for yourself what God is doing, the list goes on. How much do we spend on a wedding or a similar function? If we can really grasp this truth, will it not affect our decisions and life style? There are two places in Genesis that speak of this same truth. One is Bethel, the house of God, the best place to invest. The other is Ai, which will become rubble one day. If you do not believe it read Rev. 18 and see what God says in His Word of what will happen to the riches of this world. Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple and scarlet and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. Rev. 18:16-17 Where is our investment, Bethel or Ai? HIV or no HIV, cancer or no cancer, sick or healthy, rich or poor, educated or illiterate, we may have to leave this world sooner than we think. We have included the testimony of few here whose lives have been impacted by the ministry. We are thankful to those who pray and support this vital ministry. Consider this as your investment in Bethel, the fruit of your labor of love.

channels the believer support to ACCEPT faithfully. We are thankful for the assemblies, a couple of sisters ministries and individual believers in different parts of the world, whose faithful support keeps us going. Often we are at end of our resources when we see the Lord coming forward with His peoples help. Accept has no funding agencies behind it, mostly it is run through faithful gifts of Gods people. We can truly say that this is a faith ministry. Your prayers and partnership is needed and appreciated. We love to see it continue as an outreach of our assembly and supported by believers from different assemblies in India and abroad. Kindly help us to meet our running cost. This ministry is impacting many lives and many have put their trust in the Lord. All the contributions made to ACCEPT in India are eligible for 80 G income tax exemption. Helping Hand: Volunteers can play a vital role in this ministry

The smiles of children made me forget that they are HIV positive and orphans. The proof that Jesus love is greater than our circumstance, which can motivate other people to do their best. I am determined to come back one day and see all the wonderful people at ACCEPT with whom I have shared countless joyful moments with. Johanna Kruger GERMANY I want to thank you for all the amazing kindness, warmth and generosity the people at ACCEPT have shown me. The chance to meet and teach such incredible children, the wonderful meals and accommodation, the fact that the miracle of beautiful ACCEPT exists is such a testament to what faith and trust in GOD can result in. I simply cannot thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to join this project. I have been humbled in countless ways and had some experiences that I will never forget. Bridgid - Anne CANADA To all the beautiful children at ACCEPT, I have spent the last month and a half living with you, eating with you and laughing with you and I have loved it! There are many things I had to get used to when I came here, but soon life became normal and I lived everyday there just like you. I came to India, to ACCEPT so I could show you Gods love and bless you. But you have been the ones to do that to me. I came to teach you but you all have become my teacher. I was surprised by the joy and happiness I found here. Thank God for your life, your friends and this wonderful home called ACCEPT. I hope you never lose that joy and hope. Sabrina INDIANA - USA Our time at ACCEPT was so wonderful and something we will never forget. We went last summer, and were so blessed to go back a second time; it really felt like we never left. We spent most of our time with the kids, and were able to grow real close to them. We woke up with them, ate with them, walked them to their school bus, and helped them with their homework, played with them and everything in between. We would also help in the clinic any way we could. Most of the days were spent cleaning wards, putting away medical supplies, organizing rooms or serving lunch to the patients. The staff are very dedicated and make great sacrifices as they serve at ACCEPT. One of the greatest lessons we learned was the joy of serving. We also learned that we could give the kids and people all sorts of material things, but the most important thing we could share with them is the love of God. Priscilla and Sam NEW JERSEY, USA

CMML and MSC has put the short term volunteers need at Accept in their news and it is helping us with many enquiries and few who are coming. We want to thank CMML & MSC. We can always use volunteers for short or long term. Believers families aboard should consider challenging their young ones to come and give some time to this cause. We assure you that it will impact their life too for the Lord.
