Admission requirements
1. Diploma of Design Successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent) with an average grade of 6.00/10.00 or above (Grades for Math, Physics and Vietnamese Literature must be at least 6.0/10.00) Successful completion of RMIT Vietnam English Upper Intermediate Level; or IELTS 5.5 (no band below 5.0); or TOEFL iBT 71 (no band below 17) 2. Articulation from Diploma of Design Successful completion of Diploma of Design at RMIT Vietnam 3. Direct entry to Bachelor of Design (Multimedia Systems) Successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent) with an average grade of 7.00/10.00 or above (Grades for Math, Physics and Vietnam Literature must be at least 6.0/10.00) Successful completion of RMIT Vietnam English Advanced Level 2; or IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0); or TOEFL iBT 92 (no band below 20) Note: TOEFL and IELTS results are recognised for two years from the test date. RMIT English results are recognised for one year from the test date.

Design for Interactive Media 1 This course gives an introduction to fundamental concepts that will develop your critical and creative skills for multimedia. You are introduced to a wide range of fundamental concepts for visual cultural theories including representation, reproduction, metaphor, semiotics, narrative, time, and visual language, involved in creating work for multimedia. Class time is divided between critiquing and analysis of visual theory, images, lms, interactive media, alongside development of creative content for visual based media, concept development and animation skills useful in the creation and presentation of multimedia. Students develop competencies with Adobe Illustrator and Flash. Electronic Imaging & Design This course extends the theory of design (process and practice) and investigates its application in both static and motion design along with the techniques used to generate and manipulate electronic images. Diploma of Design
The diploma program provides an alternate pathway into the RMIT Vietnam Bachelor of Design (Multimedia Systems) degree for those students who may not meet one of the direct entry requirements. In this program students take courses in university-level academic English and contemporary study skills as well as foundational courses in designmultimedia, programming and business. The program aims to develop critical thinking and analytical skills that can be applied in many elds and a wide range of professions. Successful completion of the Diploma of Design allows students to apply for entry into Semester 3 of the Bachelor of Design (Multimedia Systems) degree and more importantly, it will deliver 96 credits (equivalent to two full time semesters) towards their undergraduate study. Teaching methods and assessment


Teaching methods include face-to-face delivery, tutorials, classes, workshops and industry seminars. Student achievement in the program is measured by methods including assignments, research, case study analysis, group presentations and examinations.

Program structure
This program is comprised of 21 core courses, four program electives, an industry experience project and three general electives. Completion of the program requires eight semesters of full time study (equivalent to a four year undergraduate degree at RMIT University in Australia).
