Chief Strategy Officer (2006-2011) Direct development and execution of brand positioning strategies for more than 40 brand families generating $600M in annual revenue. Managed a staff of 32 employees in the following functional areas: Pricing, Information Technology and International Sales. Developed and implemented a brand positioning strategy that generated $120M of incremental revenue over a 4 year period. This was an increase of 17% versus the industry average of 10%-11% over the same time period. Created Key Performance Indicators to analyze company performance and identify potential problems and/or opportunities and developed and implemented action plans to address the situation. This led to a reduction in the sales discount expense by 15% or $3M annually. Reorganized the International Sales function improving profitability from an annual loss of $2M to a profit of $2M per year. Analyzed the out-sourced POS system that resulted in $330K savings annually by bringing certain functions back in house. Directed the negotiation and implementation of 3rd party software that allowed us to manage our customers sales and inventory levels as well as performance on a daily basis. Managed an annual $300K IT capital expenditure budget. This resulted in a change in the state law. Initiated an analysis of freight costs and product sourcing that resulted in savings of $3M annually or 10% of the annual freight costs. Generated Savings of $3M via implementation of changes with contract manufacturing partner, including packaging procurement and product sourcing. Vice President, Business Operations & Administration (1998-2001) Drove acquisition of company 400% larger than Pabst through leading management team in analysis, due diligence, staffing requirements, and transition. Eliminated $80M in costs of owning and operating manufacturing facilities through outsourcing production and developing Virtual Brewer strategy; Pabst became 1st brewing company of its size to employ business model. Developed a Grass Roots marketing strategy for a portfolio of regional brands to connect with our consumers in meaningful way utilizing a marketing budget that was significantly less than our competitors. Consolidated as many as 7 different distributor contracts in to one consistent contract for each of our 1200 independent distributors. Director, Revenue Management (1996-1998) Instilled a pricing discipline and cost controls that resulted in a change in profitability from a loss of $20M to a profit of $10M in a period of 18 months. Implemented a sales and marketing budget process that resulted in a significant improvement in expense efficiency.
