MORE INFO

STATEMENT ON THE COST: In an effort to make ChicaGO SEMP an experience where students begin to know what its like to be a missionary, we strongly encourage team members to raise their own support. The main way students usually do this is by sending out support letters which will be provided by NMC. While $520 (not including the deposit) may seem like a lot of money, our experience has been that raising the necessary support isnt a problem as long as the student does his/her part. Other ways students can raise support include: personal jobs, family support, etc. More on how the support raising process works as far as sending out support letters will be communicated once the team is established. ORGANIZATION WE ARE PARTERNING WITH: SEMP (Students Equipped to Minister to Peers) is designed specifically for students who cry out for a deeper relationship with God and are serious about sharing their faith with their friends. This week-long event will be a holistic equipping experience that will stretch, challenge and prepare them for peer ministry. THINGS WE WILL BE DOING: Students will spend most of their week on Moody Bible Institutes campus attending several hours of intense training which they will then put into practice in the Chicago area. Our ministry in Chicago will be centered on building relationships and sharing Christs love with Chicago residents. Among other things, students will be given the opportunity to minister through 1-on-1 conversations, prayer walks, street evangelism, etc.
