PART 2
-Definition of Mediatorial Kingdom -The rule of God through a divinely appointed representative who not only speaks and acts for God but also represents the people before God.
Beginning: Begins with tremendous show of power and glory on Mt. Sinai Deut 4:34. Moses was the first
Ending: (592 BC) Ended with the Shekinah glory departing in Ezekiel 8-11. Ezekiel is brought from Babylon to Jerusalem in a vision Ezekiel 8:1-5. Ezekiel 8:11 has thou seen this, O son of man? Ezekiel 11:23 And the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city - Never again till the Millennium Kingdom will God directly reign over Israel
Eternal vs Temporal (Ps 10:16 vs Dan 2:44) Universal vs local (Ps 103:19 vs Isa 24:23) Theocratic vs Mediatorial (Ps 59:13 vs Ps 2:4-6) Present vs Future (Zech 14:9 vs Ps 29:10) Unconditional vs covenant based (Dan 4:34-35 vs Ps 89:27-29) How do we explain these contradictions or Distinctions about the Kingdom of God
Universal Kingdom is Eternal while the Mediatorial Kingdom is Temporal The Mediatorial Kingdom is local in nature as the Lord reigns over his subjects on earth Universal Kingdom exists today while the Mediatorial Kingdom has existed in phases and will now be established during the millennium The universal Kingdom is an unconditional Kingdom while the mediatorial kingdom is a covenant based kingdom

Prophet and Ruler Prophet, Priest and Ruler Priest and Ruler
In Christ all three functions will be fulfilled perfectly. Priestly Ministry: Heb 10:12 Kingly ministry: Matt 27:12, Psalm 95:3 Prophet: Matt 13:57, Deut 18:15, Acts 3:22-23 He is the one mediator (1 Tim 2:5) He is the answer to Job 9:33 for Man desire to have a mediator
Series 1: The Establishment and Rise of Mediatorial Kingdom Series 2: Mediatorial Kingdom in Prophecy Series 3: Mediatorial Kingdom in the gospels Series 4: Mediatorial Kingdom during the apostolic age Series 5: Mediatorial Kingdom during the Church age Series 6: Mediatorial Kingdom in its true glory during Millennium Series 7: Final Mergence with the Universal Kingdom
Process of Establishment: Supernatural Deut (4:34) By signs and wondersand by great terrors Three specific events that ushered in the Kingdom 1. God calls Moses to be leader 2. God reveals to Israel, his nation
1. God calls Moses to be leader a) Gods call at Burning Bush (Ex 3:1-10, Act 7:30) b) Mountain of God: Horeb or Mt Sinai was where the Kingdom was established c) God reveals himself to Moses (alone) d) Character of God in Mediatorial Kingdom Burning Fire God Judgment (Ps 72:1-2, Is 2:4, Gen 19:24, Ex 9:23, Rev 20:9) I AM THAT I AM God Sovereignty ( Ex 3:14, Dan 4:34, 35) God keeps his Covenant A Covenant keeping God (Ex 3:6) Take off your sandals A Holy God (Ex 3:5, Lev 11:44) But am sure King of Egypt will not let you go.(v19) A all knowing God, the foreknowledge of God. Praise God that in his foreknowledge he destined us to be his children and sons and Kings and Priests and judges.
2. God reveals to Israel, his nation Three miracles (Ex 4:1-9) .that they may believe Rod became serpent Hand healed of Leprosy Water becomes blood People accepted and said in the sight of people. And the people believed Ex 4:28-31)
3. God reveals and establishes Kingdom to Egypt and surrounding nations Who is the Lord that I should obey his voice to let Israel go?... Ex 5:2 A challenge that God answered in two phases: In Grace (Ex 7:1-10) In judgment ( Ex 8 to Ex 14). At the end of period of Judgment: Kingdom was manifest to Israel and Israel acknowledged him (Ex 14:31, Ex 15:18) Kingdom was manifest to surrounding nations (Ex 15:1417) The period of Grace will end in Judgment for the world with the consequence that whole world will accept the reign of Christ during the millennium mediatorial kingdom.
Kingdom Ruler Appointed Only time Moses is referred to as a King in OT (Deut 33:5) but new research now almost certain that the He there is God and not Moses. Testimony in Act7:35 is decisive that Moses was a King and a Commission ruler Moses represented God to Israel Ex 7:1 I have made thee as God to Pharaoh Ex 4:16 Moses to stand instead of God Moses identifies rebellion against him as rebellion to God (Num 16:28-30) Moses represented Israel to God Moses again and again stood and argued the case of Israel before God (Deut 9:24-29) There was no intercession for those who rebelled (Korah and his Prophetic ( John men). They went to Sheol alive (Num 16:28-30)
17:9 )
Prophetic: Moses is antitype of Christ, in the final phase of the Mediatorial Kingdom (Deut 18:15) Authority: His authority cannot be questioned (Deut 18:19). Peter applies this in Acts 3:19-23.
Rebellion: Rebellion of Korah is an open reminder on how rebellion against the one greater than Moses will be dealt with (Heb 12:25-28) Take care not to refuse the one who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the one who warns from heaven? Heb 2:3; 26 Then his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, I will once more shake not only the earth but heaven too. Hag 2:6; 27 Now this phrase once more indicates the removal of what is shaken, that is, of created things, so that what is unshaken may remain. 28 So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe. 1Pet 2:5; 29 For our God is indeed a devouring fire.
Selective Intercession: Just like Moses did not intercede for Korah, there will be no intercession for those who reject the Kingdom (John 17:9) But.: Moses was imperfect (Deut 32:51) while Christ will be perfect mediator king in the coming Kingdom. (Is 32:1 Righteousness, Is 11:2-5 Holiness, Is 2:4 Peace, Is 9:3,4 Joy, Is 4:2 Glory, (Isaiah 11:1-2, 11:9, 41:19-20, 54:13, Habakkuk 2:14 Teaching Ministry of Spirit)
Kingdom Covenant established Adamic Covenant (Gen 3:15) Noahic Covenant (Gen 9:17): Everlasting Covenant Abrahamic Covenant (Gen 17:7): Everlasting Covenant Mosaic Covenant (Ex 19: 1-8) Priestly Covenant (Num 25:10-13) This will be fulfilled during Millennium. Everlasting Covenant Davidic Covenant (1 Sam 23:5, 2 Sam 7:12-16). God makes an everlasting covenant with David that his throne will be established. Everlasting Covenant New Covenant (Jer 32:40) Everlasting Covenant. Millennial Covenant. Better Covenant/ Covenant of Blood (Luke 22:20, Heb 7:22)
