KC-135 O Flight

Our cadets did a great job representing the WV Wing. Capt Chris Colvin, Winchester Squadron Commander, said: Your cadets were very professional and appreciative of participating in the placement of the ceremonial wreaths.

By Capt Adam Sanders

On Dec. 17, 15 cadets and 2 senior members traveled to Andrew's Air Force Base to ride on a KC-135 Stratotanker. The flight was conducted by the 459th Air Refueling Wing based at Andrews and was part of their currency training for their pilots. The training consisted of two KC-135s and one C-17. The mission was to link up with the C-17 over the Atlantic and practice connecting to simulate an actual refueling. The mission made for some very impressive picture opportunities and gave the cadets the chance to operate the boom .
