Q : What is COMPUTER?
Answer : Computer is a simple electronic machine, which converts raw data into information and process it to give desired output to us. A Computer has two basic types, which are known as Hardware and Software.

Monitors: There are two types of monitors one is known as C.R.T. (Cathode Ray Tube) and other is L.C.D. (Liquid Crystal Display). Mouse: Mouse is also known as pointing type of device. On your mouse there are three types of buttons are available which are known as Left Mouse Button , Right Mouse Button , Wheel Mouse Button. Keyboard: The keyboard, which you have, is known as Alpha- Numeric keyboard, because it contains Alphabets and numbers. In your keyboard except alphabetic and numeric keys, there are other keys available those keys are divided into some groups, which are as follows: The keys which is labeled as F1, F2, F3 is known as Function Keys The keys which has numbers is known as Numeric Keys The keys like Caps lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock is known as Toggle Keys The keys having arrows on them is known as Navigation Keys The keys like Shift, Ctrl and Alt is known as Combination Keys The keys has alphabets on them is called Alphabetic Keys C.P.U.: The C.P.U. contains four basic components, which are known as Processor (Brain of computer) Motherboard, Hard Disk and RAM. Motherboard: It is the main board or system board of the computer. It is used to connect all the devices together. All other Additional devices can me connected to the motherboard through available interfaces. Processor: It is referred as the brain of computer. The Processor does all types of arithmetic calculations, processes data, stores part of running programs in its CACHE memory. Hard Disk: It is the secondary memory of the computer where all the programs and data are stored. The system software is also stored in the Hard disk.
