Even though it is only February, it is important to think about your summer and what you want to do with it.

The Econ Club would like to share with you a list of Economic summer seminars that you could attend over this summer. These events are a great opportunity for you to learn about economics outside of the classroom, network with students and speakers and most importantly have fun. All of these summer seminars are FREE to attend. You only have to pay the cost of travel, the good news is that in some cases, the cost of travel is also cover. 1. IHS Summer Seminars on Liberty Free Summer Seminar Description: What's in store? Opportunities to connect with students from around the world with a passion for liberty. Vacation with a purpose: scenic college campus locations, nightly socials, and time to explore. Teaching by top-tier faculty that will give you perspective and insight. Foundation of Economic Education Free Summer Seminar Description: Each year the Foundation for Economic Education hosts week-long seminars on the fundamentals of economics, free-markets, and liberty. The experience is often described as challenging, educational, and even life-changing. Join us this summer as we celebrate our 50th anniversary of educating students in economics and the philosophy of freedom. Independent Institute The Challenge of Liberty Summer Seminars Description: Our five-day series of lectures, readings, films, multimedia presentations, and small group discussion teaches students what economics is, how it affects their lives, and how understanding it can help them achieve better lives for themselves, their communities, and the world at large. Informative, inspiring, and fun, The Challenge of Liberty is an ideal way to make the summer break intellectually rewarding. Dates: College July 30August 3 Location: Oakland, California How to Apply: College Application Earlybird Deadline: April 1st 4. Mises Institute Mises University Description: The Mises University is the worlds leading instructional program in the Austrian School of economics. Since 1986, it has been the essential training ground for economists who are looking beyond the mainstream. Mises University is open to full-time students, faculty, and current members of the Mises Institute. Interested full-time students can apply to receive a scholarship covering full tuition, housing, and meals (catered and served at the Mises Institute).
