ACADEMIC PROJECT: TITLE: IMAGE RECONSTRUCTION FROM COMPRESSED DATA Summary: Advantage of this approach is that the decoded image is reconstructed using both the transmitted data and prior knowledge that prior to compression it does not have discontinuities between blocks.MATLAB coding was used. About the Project: POCS is an iterative method, which intersects the two convex points. POCS is a powerful technique for solving image recovery and signal synthesis probles.PSNR (peak signal-to noise ratio) is very low. This approach will correct the ringing and blocking artifacts.
