Planting a Rainbow

Magic School Bus: Plants Seeds


By: Patricia Relf Call Number: E 580 REL Grade: K-4 Another one of Mrs. Frizzles crazy adventures. The school bus turns into a lady bug and learn about how plants grow.

Suggestion: A good spring story. It can be used as artwork and/or writing. Students can draw a garden or another spring item (insects, butteries) using the colors of the rainbow. The writing about their ve senses or what they would feel.

Suggestion: Magic tree house is always a good way to teach different science topics because it combines students humor and silliness with science.

By: Alma Flor Ada Call Number: EADA Grade: K-4 Goldilocks sends letter back and forth with some of our favorite nurse rhythm characters about a party. Suggestion: This can be used as a letter activity. Students can be a nurse rhythm character and write to or from Goldilocks. It also can be used as a lesson for students to identify other stories within stories.

Very Hungry Caterpillar Day


March 20, 2012 is both the rst day of Spring as well as the Very Hungry Caterpillar Day. This is a day to celebrate and read one of Eric Carles well known book, The Verty Hungry Caterpillar. It is a great way to welcome spring with its fun colorful pictures and the ease it can be used

Can be used when having pictures of a problem or writing problem and want to tell the answer or correct pronunciation of a word. It can even be an explanation. Hello Slide http://www.helloslide.com/ Problem with putting slideshows online to share is that they dont have your voice to explain either the image or what isnt on the slide. This can be used when discussing inventions.
