When creating link, if the vpi, vci of links built later are already existed, then the former links will be covered by the later instead of reporting VPI/VCI value check error. ATM service protection on AIU board can not be realized by the multiplex section protocol. The running indicator on the aiu board flashes abnormally. Corresponding Precaution Do not use the link numbered 1024 When creating link, pay attention to check if VPI/VCI is repeated, and the same MPHY/VPI/VCI link will not be created. When sending command "cfginit<sysall>", Ethernet service is affected immediately and the service is interrupted and recovers only at the moment that the new service sent by "cfg-checkout" goes into effect . When switching to the standby path in PP ring, there is no PS switchover alarm in 2M path on ET1 board. Corresponding Precaution Route index number is set in ascending order from 100.

3.1 SS42AIU Board Software Deployment Description
At present the 42AIU board only supports CBR service, but MUSA or other broadband equipment supports VBR or UBR service. Considering the different

service type, it is recommended that the traffic flow of each ATM connected to PCM be more that 10Mbit/s, that is 23585 Cell/s, and CDVT value be 10000.

3.2 SS42ET1 Board Software Deployment Description

SS42ET1 board software V1.11 neither support VLAN function nor the TAG attribute setting. The TAG attribute of Ethernet interface is equal to untag. The TAG attribute setting of board is invalid when the host software sends configuration. V1.22 and V1.33 versions support VLAN function. Because the default configuration to TAG attribute is "tag" when host software sends configuration files, demand "cfg-set-ethtag" should be added to set Ethernet interface tag/untag in the configuration files in the case of V1.22 and above version are required during upgrading or new deployment. The specific setting refers to VLAN Deployment Instruction of SS42ET1V1.22 Version (0731), which is issued in [Mandatory Reading for Transmission Engineers, issue 3, 2001]. SS42ET1 production delivery version in September is V1.33, pay attention to the TAG attribute affects on the deployment and expansion.
