GMS Composite Knitting Industry Limited Is one of the most modern Composite Knitwear factories in Bangladesh, located at Shardagonj, Kashimpur, Gazipur about 40 KM from Dhaka. The objective of GMS is to make knit garments by complying the quality standards of world class buyers and as such the project has been designed with the latest State of the art brand new machinery and engaged experienced & trained staff at all levels. Its collection includes computerized Mayer & Cie Circular Knitting machine from Germany, automatic semi jacquard Shima Seiki Flat Knit Collar Machine from Japan and ATALL from Germany, computerized Sclavos-Athena from Greece and Thies Eco-soft Plus Dyeing machine from Germany, Santex De-Water and tensionless steam Dryer from Switzerland, Fab-Con Compactor from USA for appropriate compaction and shrinkage control, Sewing machine s from Japan with latest JUKI and PEGASUS technology and Cleaver Brooks boiler from USA. It is equipped with MACBETH spectrophotometer, SDL & James H. Heal Laboratory equipment, an Effluent Treatment Plant to ensure safe environment , a Water Treatment Plant to provide soft & iron free water for dyeing, Gas Generator from Caterpillar to ensure uninterrupted and stable power supply. Ergonomically designed production floor to achieve efficiency and professional management staffs.

KNITTING SECTION
We are Equipped with world famous machineries, in our collection we have Mayer & Cie machines with the latest technology of Germany, Fukahama from Taiwan, UNITEX from Singapore & Pailung from Taiwan. Single Jersey/Pique-24 Gauge, Dia-16 to 30 = 35 machines Rib-16 & 18 Gauge, Dia 30 to 42 = 13 machines Interlock-24 Gauge, Dia 32 to 42 = 12 Machines Three Thread Fleece & Heavy Jersey-20 Gauge, Dia- 34 to 40 = 14 Machines Auto stripes-18, 20 & 24 Gauge Dia 30 to 36 = 10 Machines. We are capable of making 100% Cotton, PC, CVC, 20/1 40/1, Mlange with various compositions Cotton Modal, Modal, Polyester, Nylon etc. Whole range of Single Jersey, Double Jersey, Pique, Lapique (Lacoste), (4 Track Design). 1x1 Rib, 2x2 Rib, Rib needle drop, Waffle, French Pique, Interlock, Interlock-Pique, French Terry, Three Thread Fleece etc include in our knitting options. For flat Knit like Collar & Cuff with tipping we use Shima Seiki semi jacquard Double Head machine from Japan, and Stoll from Germany, total 30 machines

GARMENTS-SECTION
Equipped with latest model Japanese JUKI, BROTHERS & PEGASUS Sewing Machine complete with fabric Trimmer, Suction Device etc. Sufficient number of Picoting Feed of the Arm and PMD machines to suit your needs. For Patterning we use CAD-CAM from GERBER Technology. Sufficient number of Back Taping, Flat Lock (Flat-bed & Cylinder- bed) and Button Hole & Button Stitch machines with Auto-Trimmer and Automatic Knot Tying mechanism. Professional lighting and safe electrical wiring by Bus-bar Tanking system from France. Conveyer type Metal Detector machine to prevent the presence of any broken needle in the garments. Finishing section is equipped with adequate number of Vacuum Table & Steam Iron In process quality control by well trained inspectors as well as final audit system.
Own Work Study team evaluating the productivity and efficiency of assembly operations. Ergonomically designed Cutting, Sewing & Finishing floor.

Equipped with Macbeth & Data colors spectrophotometer from USA High Temperature and Atmospheric Programmable Laboratory dyeing machine from Roaches. Perfect colour ensured by colour matching cabinet. Automatic Lab washing machine Washcator from SDL for shrinkage measurement. Equipped with Light Fastness Tester, Rubbing Fastness Tester, Corckmeter, Pilling Tester, Perspirometer, Yarn Tension Meter, Yarn Examining machine etc.

POWER&UTILITIES-SECTION
We have our own power supply. There are adequate amount of Gas & Diesel generators for uninterrupted power supply. Generator Caterpillar Natural Gas generator-1030 KW 4 pcs. Caterpillar Diesel Generator-600 KW 4 pcs.
Air Compressor with dryer and moisture separator by Atlas Capco from Belgium and BOGE from Germany. Water Treatment Plant to provide soft & iron free water for dyeing. Modern Effluent Treatment Plant ensuring safe environment. Selfsufficient power generation from Gas Generator for continuous and steady power supply by Caterpillar from USA. as well as Diesel by Caterpillar from USA. Cleaver-Brooks boiler from USA for sufficient steam generation for dyeing machines both gas and oil fired.

Please refer to Guidelines for writing ME Internship Activities document for the types of analysis and inquiries that you should be performing during Production, and Design and Development internship.
Generate new creative idea in knit garment styling. Have to communicate with sample section. Have to follow-up the design. Have to work independently.

GMS Composite Knitting Industry Limited Rules for writing the internship report:
Do not write theoretical excerpts from textbooks! Describe what you exactly did there and what experiences you have gained throughout your training. The internship report should be between 15-20 pages and written to Training Program Diary which can be provided from the university bookstore. The internship report should be written in handwriting, and each page should contain about 25 lines. The internship report should be original, no photocopies are accepted. You can include graphs, pictures, data, drawings, or design calculations in your report; however they should not cover more than 1/3 of the page. Larger graphs, pictures, data, drawings, or design calculations should be given as an Appendix.
