Jewellery/ Accessory Designer

I am a Jewellery Designer with six years of work experience. I have graduated in Accessory Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. I worked as a senior designer at Tanishq, India's largest jewellery brand and retailer. I have designed jewellery for the Milan Fashion week and recently designed jewellery for a Bollywood movie Paheli, which was later nominated for an Oscar. I am seeking a job as either full time/ freelance designer or an online consultant.

Objective An eye for detail, a contemporary design style and commitment to work is what you can expect from me. I on the other hand am looking for challenging opportunities as a jewellery designer either on a permanent or freelance basis. An opportunity to create jewellery which is both commercial as well as exquisite.

Colours of Royalty Exhibited at and worn by the contestants of the Miss India Pageant 2006. A theme based collection inspired by the styling used in the Victorian era. Product detailing was the focus. October 2005, designed for Tanishq, Titan Industries Limited International Business Division (IBD) Nominated to work exclusively for IBD as designer and product manager. Involved 2 months intensive training to understand American aesthetics and the market. Developed the introductory collection for Tanishq, which will shortly launch in the US. Gave product presentations to prospective clients from the US (distributors and retailers). September 2005, designed for Titan Industries Limited Bollywood Movie- Paheli Project manager: designed and developed all the jewellery for the Oscar nominated movie, Paheli. Worked closely with the production team, film director and numerous vendors. Time management and planning was crucial. Tanishq repositioned itself as being a serious high end jeweller as a result of this movie. February 2005, designed for Tanishq, Titan Industries Limited DTCs Sangini A Tanishq- DTC tie-up extensively promoted by Diamond Trading Council (DTC) across India. Developed designs using 8 cent diamonds to promote bezel setting. Product pricing was key to this collection November 2004, designed for Tanishq, Titan Industries Limited Milan Fashion Week

Designed an exclusive range of haute couture jewellery for the Milan Fashion Week 2004. The designs have an Indian influence and an international styling! Put Tanishq on the global fashion scene. September 2004, designed for Tanishq, Titan Industries Limited Valentine Collection Designed a collection which was occasion specific and had a restriction on price-points. Developed innovative concepts and forms inspired by hearts. Volume Driver: this collection grossed half a million pounds over three days. November 2003, designed for Tanishq, Titan Industries Limited Dancing Diamonds A collection developed for my graduation project which was later evolved into an extensive range. Defined the concept diamonds being precious need to be securely held in a fixed position An extremely contemporary line in the Indian market which received an excellent response. This flowchart is currently used for the ISO structure which is followed by Tanishq Design Studio. Key Responsibilities Part of the design teams Fashion Forecasting Cell which analyses various trends in fashion both nationally as well as internationally using WGSN and thereafter re-interprets the information for the designers. Conceptualization of new collections and various product innovations. Liaise with the master making and the CAD teams while developing prototypes. Attended fairs and conferences and have taken initiatives to share the learnings with the entire organization.

Mentored internees and trainees from Indias many design schools. Responsible to start up new projects which have been ventured into by the company. E.g. International Business and Bags for FQ (Tanishqs brand for the youth).
