INSTRUCTIONS
1. This form is due in the General Office as indicated on the first page of this form. It should be accomplished at the close of each school year or semester, as the case may be, in duplicate for each municipality and in triplicate for each curriculum in each secondary, normal, or technical school. One copy should be retained in the office of the principal and the other copy or copies forwarded to the division office. 2. Each division superintendent should accomplish a summarized report on this form in duplicate for his entire division and should be forward one copy to the Director of Public Schools, together with one copy for each curriculum in each secondary, normal or technical school within the division. 3. On this report should be included all pupils and students who have been promoted during the year, summarized from the data reported on the reverse side of B.P.S. Forms 18-A, 18-B, and 18-C. 4. All data needed for the accomplishment of this report are given on B.P.S. Form 18-A, 18-B, and 18-C. Before accomplishing this form, principals should check B.P.S. Form 18-A, 18-B. and 18-C with B.P.S. Form 3 for April. Division superintendents should likewise check the forms received from the field with B.P.S. Form 3 for April. 10346 (20-8-49; 20,000; Req. 5. Column (3) records all pupils and students promoted from a grade or year during the school year, except those promoted at the end of school year. The latter are noted in column (5). 6. The corrected enrolment in column (4) is obtained by adding to the April enrolment the number of pupils and students promoted during the school year. 7. The total number of pupils and students promoted is found by adding to the number promoted from the grade or yera in April the number of pupils and the students promoted from the grade or year during the school year. 8. The sum of the ages of all pupils and students promoted should be appear in column (7). 9. Special care shoulsbe taken in reporting the average age of pupils and students promoted, dividing separetely the totals for boys, the totals for girls, and the complete totals in column (7) by the corresponding totals in column (6). 10. IN finding the percentages fo column (9), divide the numbers in column (6) by the corresponding numbers in column (4). If there are no promotions during the school year, divide the numbers in column (6) by the corresponding numbers in column (2). REFERENCES
