Eemplein is a housing project which is located in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. The housing takes a place exactly on a newly developed square (centrum). Eemplein consists of 50 appartment which are combined with shops on the ground floor, and a shopping block which is directly connected with the housing block. In this project, I took a role only as a 3D Visualizer.
IN BETWEEN
wc
The client wanted to have a continuity and a flowing view and movement in the whole building. If possible there must be as few walls as possible inside. So the house was divided into two part with center axis and developed with split level system. With the split level, there is a continuity within each room, and a feeling of openness. In between floors also give an unseenable borders eventhough there are minimum walls

The client is an automotive lover. He has an old unused frame of Volks Wagon Combi. I try to integrate half of the Combis frame into the bar and recreation room to create something unique. It can be used as the bar and drinking storage with a little modification.
THE BLOCK
The block is one model of several apartment in a housing area. Situated as a center point of the housing complex, this flat has a parking area in front of it. The design was simple yet still elegant to reduce the construction cost but still can fulfill the markets demand.

THE TWIN
This house was designed for two brothers who would like to have own house but didnt have much money to buy two area. The result was a single house but was divided it into two completely separate part which was bordered by the center wall, so each people would have their own part. Twist vertical circulation was used to develop the house. Diagonal vertical movement was applied so each occupant will get to different side of the house from thir starting point when they advanced to the next level. If first people has the left side of the house at the ground floor, he will has the right side on the second floor (see the floor plan). The possesion of the same owner is indicated by the same color of the facade. The only part of the house which is connected each other is the garden on the top floor, so they still can meet each other if they need.

Eco design principles were applied into the process of the design. This house has a lot of opening and is made to be semi -openbuilding by connecting directly with the open air to improve the air circulation within the building. The skin of the building can be opened so the wall can breathe. Green roof was design to give recreational space for the inhabitants and can be used as a putting green as well for the golfer.

RECYCLE MATERIAL
Griya belek means Tin House. This house use waste materials as its components. Tin waste and leftover wood are used as wall partition, window, opening, drawer, wall decoration, and lamp installation. The used of recycle materials will reduce local waste and conserve natural resources at once.
G R I Y A B E L E K
The concept of the design was to make an environtmental friendly house. The house was divided into two masses , which are separated with zen garden. It will fulfill the need of air circulation and natural lighting for the house. So it will be a low energy building.

The main issue of this school was the openness and connection between each cluster inside the building. This school was designed to have as minimum obstacles as possible. There are very few walls in each classroom cluster. Instead of the walls, wellplaced furnitures were used to create borders and giving security to each classroom. A lot of opening was also placed on all side to give natural light, which is one of the characteristics of Montessori Education. Because there are 4 different clusters with different age range, the clusters were positioned so there is still connection between each other but not to disturb each other.

INTERIOR CAFE
White Rabbit is an art gallery which shows some collections of paintings, oil paintings, photos, and sculptures. In an art gallery, they main important issue is about zoning and lighting. There must be a good combination between natural lighting and artificial lighting. The development of the white rabbits designed focus on those things. The form of the facade was designed to catch as much daylight as possible. The collections which cant be exposed with daylight were zoned on the deep corner of the building.

De Landgoed Groene Kamer is a shopping boulevard which is located in the nature. Situated in a farm area near Tilburg, The Netherlands this shopping center sells product of nature which is produced by the surrounding farm. This complex consists of landwinkels, restaurant, offices, shops, garden, and wellness facility. The whole complex is huge and the site was totally empty. To prevent monstrous buildings come up in the middle of emptyness of the farm, we try to combine the whole building area with the landscape to camouflage them. The area was divided into two area, landscape area and shopping boulevard (green boulevard) on the other side which was separated by the buildings in the middle. The landscape from the nature area goes up until the roof of the buildings.

BUILDING FEATURES
SKY GARDEN and BREATHING FACADE
There were several holes on the facade which go through to the middle part of the building. They were made so the building can breathe. The holes can be used as garden as well to make the view better and give clean air supply. On top floor there is a sky restaurant which is covered by glass dome and surrounded by sky garden.
SKY BRIDGE
Lift and service area mass were separated from the main building mass with vertical crevices so air can flows to the center void. This two masses were connected by sky bridges that connected directly to open air. The sky bridges were used as garden as well so it can reduce the stress level of the employees.
EXPOSED STAIR
The vertical circulation was designed continously round the side of the building. The stair area was secured with laminated glass instead a wall so people can enjoy the surrounding view. The ceiling of this area is covered with plants and vines to give a psychological effects such as freshness and coolness and to give clean air supply as well

The Fascination
Characteristics
Below the pass, high Alpine pastures have been used by dairy cattle for summer grazing, making space available at lower altitudes for cultivating and harvesting hay for winter fodder. Many of the high pastures are at altitudes over 1,000 meters.
There are some points on the brenner pass near the entry point to Bolzano that have similar potentials, problems, and unique characteristics.
Very important connector Few Pit Stop or rest point Mix of landuse on its surrounding Many vehicles pass the road Has beautiful landscape Not far from the city
Landuse
This map shows the solid void condition at the current case study location. The white colors show the buildings, infrastructure and mountain(Fullness state). The black colors show the unbuilt areas such as farmland and nature (Emptyness state). There are lot of emptyness that can still be optimized. Sketch of Axonometrical Section
Emptyness VS Fullness
Sequence
Because of these reasons, there will be some boringness feeling while driving along the brenner pass. It is an ironic thing. Brenner pass has the most beautiful landscape on its background, but those several matters bring the boringness state on the road.
I N N S B DR IU RC EK C T I O N
There is a large space between the highway and the ground which can be used or optimized
This road has similar sequences along the way. There are no variety of view or any kind of surprise. There are many empty view as well. This situation can cause a boringness while driving.
The boringness on the road come because people have the same sequence all the way. Same sequence equals with same story. There is no excitement while driving because there is no interesting story. What does have an interesting stroy? MOVIE In the first Scenario, the existing road is combined with the order of plot of a movie to create a better sequence. The road are divided into four sections, and five points are picked to representate each plot part so that there is a continuous story on the road. The chosen points are tunnels and bending part of the road. It will make people can have different view on each point
Emptyness View
The plan is to design high rise buildings and put in on the middle of the road to block the emptyness view and to be element of surprises. The building on three chosen spots must have similar characteristics or connection.
Give something small at first, then give something big at the climax to bring gradually surprises

SCENARIO 3
SCENARIO 5
Connecting Space
Use the lower ground to be public spaces as transition before entering the main building. Add connection between both sides of the river.
Make connection between upper and lower level to make a continuity and optimized unused space to be social places
SCENARIO 4
The current function is Brenner Pass as the main axis that connect two functions, economical and living function, on both sides. The area on the left and right of the river are not connected. This scenario wants to give new function to the area, social function and tourism. It will improve the value of the road, economical rate, and number of tourists. These new function also connect the existing function on both sides, so the whole area will be a single unit.
Basic Idea
Surprise = Unexpected = Contradiction Characteristic line of the mountain Using circle and arch as components of the design
This area has great landscape. But not all people have much time to go up to the mountain to enjoy the landscape. They just watch the landscape while driving on the road. Of course, they cant get the best view. This scenario plan to make a tower so people can go there for a while and enjoy the surrounding landscape in the best way
Grape
This region is famous with their wine producing. To give an identity to this building, the design will imitate grape as the shape concept. The Vine The Fruit

SEQUENCE
These buildings give a new and better sequence into the site. They are placed in the middle of the road in order to give surprise and to block the emptyness frontview to prevent the boringness on this road. All three parts of the building are built separately and put on the bending part of the road, so people will catch different view as they driving their car forward. The upper scene is the sequence while people driving toward north east direction(innsbruck). The lower scene is the sequence while people driving toward south west direction (bolzano).

NEW LANDMARK
This building can be a landmark for the whole brennero region.
Located on a valley, crossed by a river, and exposed to the sunlight, this building has an advantage to use the power of nature. Some concept of using natural power are applied to the building making this tower a sustainable building.

Big Gap
Since1996 Viana do Castelo became one of the Portuguese Network of Healthy Cities. Then Viana do Castelo Healthy City established a Health Development Plan which consists of health promotion, including urban planning, environment, sport habit, lifestyle and aging. Thats why this city has quite a lot of sport facilities. The municipality even will gives fund to a instantion that wants to build or develop a sport facility. Located on the waterfront, this city have a big potency of water sports. The beach of Viana do Castelo is even listed on world map of surfing. Unfortunately, the existed watersport facilities havent provide proper equipments yet.

Praca da Agua also provides freedom to all people to do any kind of activities they want like dancing, skateboarding, gathering, holding events, using as a marketplace and etc by giving concrete piazza. This piazza is divided into three identical shape to create even more intimate open space. In these intimate open space, people will feel more connected with each other, either by the activities, views and the contacts happened. The third part of piazza has a different level that can also be used as a stage if there is an event.
The design of Praca da Agua using the same elements which can be found in other open spaces so this place can represent the characteristics of other open spaces, so that this public spaces is connected with the others by the same atmosphere, feeling and emotion where people get into it.
