Note: Compressor suction lines may require chemical cleaning/pickling (or mechanical cleaning) to achieve required cleanliness levels.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that this seal setting is correctly 'locked' as per seal manufacturer's detailed instructions. 16 Check the buffer-gas supply system and lines for the Dry-gas seals are clean and clear and correctly installed. Blow through all lines prior to connecting up to each compressor seal housing. 17 For compressors with seal-oil supply arrangement (if applicable) check that all sealoil supply and return pipework is correctly installed and internally cleaned. Attach gear contact sheet to this Mechanical Completion Form for inclusion in the TCP (Transmision control Protokol) 2.4 Check bearing-shell half in upper casing for any damage or signs of dirt etc. and ensure no debris are present. 2.5 Check gear heel and pinion end-floats are correct to specification and record values. 2.6 Check gearbox trust bearing faces to any signs of damage or makings etc and ensure no debris present. 2.7 Check all oil-ways are clear and all internal connecting pipework if applicable (e.g. ol-spry pipes onto gearing) is complete. 2.10 Check inside of Gearbox casing for cleanliness and confirm any paint coatings (if appllicable) are complete and undamaged. 2.11 For reservoir type 'oil-throw' gearboxs confirm that correct type, grade and quantity of oil has been used tom fill Gearbox housing to correct level. Check gearbox sight-level gauge operate correctly. 2.12 Replace gearbox cover using new gasket or other jointing as specified by vendor / installation instructions.
