Statement of Purpose
The job description mentioned detail about the objectives of the position such as 1. The objectives of this job is to administer and ensure that the requirements of various Environmental health relevant statutes are in place and to maintain the environmental health standards; 2. To ensure the effective operations and management of the landfill site, provision of a Waste Service to the community and subsequent construction of building plans are maintained and complied with their respective standards

Essential
1. Developed verbal and written communication skills, public relations, negotiating skills and interpersonal skills; 2. Developed time management skills with the ability to priorities required tasks; 3. Comprehensive knowledge of the Health Act, Building Code of Australia and other Legislation in respect of Environmental Health, and Building; 5. Hold a current C Class Motor Drivers License. 6. Qualifications to hold the office of Building Surveyor to the satisfaction of the Building Surveyors Qualifications Committee or Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent acceptable to the Commissioner for Health WA for appointment to the position; 7. A strong understanding and working knowledge of Records Management, Local Government Procurement, Local Government Administration and Occupational Safety & Health and Risk Management
Desirable
1. Working knowledge of the Local Laws in respect to Ranger Services; 2. Working knowledge to Town Planning Legislation and practice; 3. Knowledge of Noise Legislation under the Environmental Protection Act and practical experience regarding enforcement in this area. 4. Detailed knowledge of Local Government Law and Meeting procedure. 5. Working knowledge of computer systems and software applications. 6. Minimum of 5 years experience working as an Environmental Health Officer (Officers with lesser years of experience are welcome to apply)
