Before you use the piano, we recommend you to read through this manual. Please keep this instruction manual for future reference.

Precautions!
Please read the following carefully before use: Do not expose the piano to high temperature, direct sunlight and excessively dusty places. Do not place the piano too close to other electrical appliances such as television and radio. It may cause interference. Do not place the piano to excessive humid area. Avoid putting container with liquid on top of the piano for preventing the damage of the internal parts of the piano by flowing liquid. Always unplug cables by gripping the plug firmly, but not pulling on the cable. Do not apply excessive force to the switches and buttons. When the piano is not in use or in the time of thunderstorm, please remeber disconnect the power supply. Avoid adjusting the volume level to the maximum or to the levels that you feel uncomfortable, we recommend you to limit the volume level to two-third of the max to prevent the damage of audiory sense. Unplug the power cable before cleaning the piano,and do not connect or disconnect the power cable with a wet hand. Check and clean the power plug periodically. To avoid damage to the piano and other devices to which it is connected, turn the power switches of all related device off prior to connecting or disconnecting cables. Clean the piano with a dry soft cloth, a slightly damp cloth could be used to remove dirt as well. Never use cleaners such as thinner or alcohol. To prevent damage the surface of the LCD display, please use lens cleaning tissue to clean the display. If the piano cable is damaged, please do not use the piano. Otherwise it may cause fire or electrical hazard. In the case of malfunction due to improper handling the piano,please switch off and on again after 30 seconds. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the piano by yourself, as well as the internal parts. If the piano does not work properly, please contact the approved repairer.

Main Features
Sound Generation
The sounds are based on PCM and Wavetable technology.

Operation system
You can select the Voices and Styles at high speed with the Direct Select Button or Dial on the panel.

Voice
DP600`s ROM contains 142 permanent Voices including 12 Chinese traditional Voices and 2 Drum kits, and you can select one of them directly by the 40 Panel Voice.

Style
DP600 features 100 Styles including 1 Custom Style, and you can select one of them directly by the 30 Panel Style.

Custom Style
You can create your own style with Drum kits only.

Song & Demo


DP600 features the 60 ROM Songs, which provide MELODY OFF Mode for user learning and 8 ROM Demos with great sound effect.

Style Chord Mode


With the mode under A.B.C, you can play the chord in fingered or single finger mode .

Record Mode
DP600 allows you to record in 5 (4 melody tracks and 1 accompaniment track) tracks separately, and play with any tracks.

Memory
With 8 banks, each bank contains 6 memory registers.

Other Feature
DSP effect (on/off), Piano Mode, Metronome with two types, Modulation and so on.

Follow the illustration below and finish off the set-up procedures. Fix on pedal group(N) with the pedal clog(M) as shown in Fig. 1. Fix and well tighten the left leg(C) and Right leg(B) to crossbar(A) with screws(H). Insert the 4hand screw plastic cover(N) into the legs holes.

Fix the rear panel (D) to the crossbar(A) with 3 screws(F) and to the legs(B & C) with 2 screws(I).

Place the piano cabinet (E) on stand, fix it using four screw clogs(L).

Attach 2 adhesive clamps (G) on stand and cabinet. Insert the DIN plug of pedals cable into the proper socket of cabinet; Fix the cable into adhesive clamp (G).

The Connectors
Using the AC power jack

Ensure the piano is turned off when connecting and disconnecting the power. Connect the power cable to the AC power jack on the underside of the piano body.

Turn the volume switch anti-clockwise to reach the minimum volume level.

Plug the power cable into an AC power outlet.

If you have done the above procedures you are now safe to turn on the piano. Caution: When the piano is not in use or in the time of thunderstorm, please disconnect the power for safety sake.

Using Headphones
An optional set of stereo headphones can be connected to the headphones jack located on the left underside of the piano body. When a pair of headphones is connected to the jack, the internal speakers will switch off automatically. Caution:

Never use the headphone with high volume, as it may damage your sense of hearing. To prevent the damage of the speakers, ensure that the volume is set to the minimum level before connecting the power and other devices.

Using the AUX.OUT jack


Connect the rear-panel AUX.OUT jack to amplified speakers, amplifiers or domestic hi-fi-units for external amplification.

Note: Connect both left(L) and right(R) channels for the stereo result. If you only connect either one of the channels, the connected channel will only take effect.

Using the Foot Pedals
Connect the plug of the foot pedal unit to the pedal jack on the rear panel. You will experience the sustain effect.

Using the MIDI IN/OUT Jack


MIDI stand for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. MIDI is a world wide standard that makes it possible for various electronic musical instruments and other devices.

MIDI IN:

Data transmitted from other MIDI instrument via MIDI is received at this terminal. via MIDI from this terminal.

MIDI OUT: Data produced by the Digital Piano is transmitted to other MIDI instruments

Note:
If the LCD display does not light up after you turned on the piano, please check the power supply. If the piano is silent, the volume may be adjusted to its minimum level.

Select Key-VOICE/STYLE/SONG

Press [VOICE/STYLE/SONG] button can change the mode between VOICE, STYLE and SONG.

There are 8 Demos at all (see Appendix 3)

Play Demo
Press [DEMO] button to DEMO mode, the DEMO flag is lightened on LCD, and hold the [DEMO] button over 3 seconds, it will play the current demo repeatedly, and all the demos play one by one. LCD displays the demo's name and number.

When demo is playing,you can select new demo by using [+/YES]/[-/NO] botton,then the new demo is played immediately.

Voice Selecting

Voice numeber
142 voice at all (Appendix 1), including 128 GM voice, 12 Chinese voices, and 2 percussion voices.

Voice setting
The default VOICE R1 is No.001; LCD displaysVOICE R1and the voice name. Press [+/YES]/[-/NO] button or use dial to select the voice wanted.

Use 20 voice direct select keys to select the voice with direct voices in each botton (upper & nether) Note When change the voice, pay attention to the rules: If press the same button, the voice will be changed between upper and nether. If one direct button is the upper (nether) voice, the voice is also the upper(nether) when pressing other direct bottons.

How to use the Data Dial


The Data Dial is undoubtedly the easiest way to select a voice. Simply rotate the dial clockwise to increment or counter-clockwise to decrement.

Dual Voice

Press [DUAL] button to turn on the DUAL VOICE, when VOICE R1 is lightened off , VOICE R2 and dual flag are both lightened. The dual voice name is also displayed on the LCD. Press [+/YES]/[-/NO] button or the dial to select the dual voice number. The default dual voice number is No. 50: Strings2. Press [DUAL] button again to turn off the DUAL VOICE.

Split/lower Voice

You can split the keyboard to right and left area in this function. Press [LOWER VOICE] button to turn on the lower voice. LCD lights the lower voice flag and displays VOICE L and the lower voice name. Press [+/YES]/[-/NO] button or the dial to select the lower voice number. The default lower voice number is No. 50: Strings2. Press [LOWER VOICE] button again to turn off the lower voice.

Sustain

Press [SUSTAIN] button to turn on the sustain effect with the lights of sustain flag on LCD. In this mode, the keyboard has the sustain effect. Press [SUSTAIN] button again to turn off the sustain effect. Sustain flag darks on LCD.

Note: When the pedal is set as the sustain pedal (see in function), the sustain pedal's effect is stronger than the [SUSTAIN] button.

DSP effect
The effect is set to ON when keyboard power on. Press [DSP] button to turn off the DSP effect.

Touch response

The original sound will be dark into 4 different levels by changing of touch response numbers 1 to 4. Touch response is on when touch response indicator is on. Press [TOUCH] button to change the touch response number to 1,2,3 and off.

Portamento/Modulation
Press the [PORTAMENTO/MODULATION] BUTTON to portamento or modulation mode.

Portamento mode
In portamento mode, press and hold the [PORTAMENTO/MODULATION] button, and the portamento flag on LCD is lightened. Play the keyboard note consecutively from one note to another. Release the [PORTAMENTO] button to quit portamento mode.

Modulation mode
Press and hold [portamento/modulation] button. The modulation effect will be on when playing the keyboard. Release the button to stop the modulation effect.

Piano
Press [PIANO] button to the piano mode, then LCD displays PIANO and the A.B.C mode is turned off automatically. Press [PIANO] again to quit the piano mode.

Note In PIANO mode, press [DEMO],[VOICE DIRECT KEY], [SONG] button and load the memory will quit the PIANO mode. In PIANO mode, the style can be selected and played with the only choice of drum. In PIANO mode, you cannot record.

Select a style
There are 100 styles, from 001 to 100. The default style is 001. Press [Style/Voice/Song] button to the style mode. LCD lights the style flag and displays the style name.

Press [+/YES]/[-/NO] button or use dial to select the style you want.

SYNC Start: Beats on LCD flash simultaneously in current tempo when pressing [SYNC] botton. Press [INTRO/ENDING] button to inset INTRO. LCD lights the intro flag. The INTRO plays automatically when playing the keyboard at the same time.

Note If A.B.C mode is off, playing any keys on keyboard can start the style. If A.B.C mode is on, playing on the chord area can start the style with the Auto Bass Chord.

Fill IN A/B
Choose the desired style and press the [START/STOP] button. In NORMAL mode, press [FILL IN A] button to insert 1 measure fill and LCD displays FILL A-A After returning to the NORMAL style, LCD displays MAIN A.

In VARIATION, press [FILL IN B] button to insert 1 measure fill and LCD displays FILLB-B After returning to the VARIATION style. LCD displays MAIN B .

Press [ACCOMP+] and [ACCOMP-] button simultaneously to turn off the ACCOMP volume. LCD displays OFF Accomp.

Press [ACCOMP+] and [ACCOMP-] button simultaneously again to turn on the ACCOMP volume.

A.B.C modeAuto bass chord


To turn on the A.B.C mode, press A.B.C button. In this mode, the keys below spilt point are the CHORD area.

You can change the chords of the accompaniment by playing keys using either Single Finger or Fingered method. Single Finger detect 1. Choose the desired style.( See appendix 2) 2. Press the [START/STOP] button to start to playback the style. 3. Play the chords by following the Single Finger Chord table The examples of Single Finger Chord C, Cm, C7 and Cm7 are shown as follows: C Major [M]:To play a major chord: Press the root note of the chord. Cm Minor[m]:To play a minor chord: press the root note together with any black key to the left of it. C7:To play a seventh chord: Press the root note together with any white key to the left of it. Cm7:To play a minor seventh chord: Press the note together with any white and black keys to the left of it. (Three keys altogether.)

Playing the Styles


Fingered detect Play the Fingered Chord on the keys below the Spilt point. 1.Choose your desired style.( See appendix 2) 2.Press the [START/STOP] button to start to playback the style. 3.Play the desired chords by following the Chord Chart in appendix 5. A total of 30 chords are provided as follows:

Tempo
Press either [TEMPO+] or [TEMPO-] button or the dial to change the tempo and set the default tempo. Press both [TEMPO+] or [TEMPO-] simultaneously to change back to the default tempo.

Changed tempo restores to the default tempo if the playing style stops. If the pedal is set to PEDAL TAP (See in Function Menu), you can set your desired tempo by stepping the PEDAL.

Transpose
The keyboard can be tansposed within a range of 12 to +12 halftones. The default transpose setting is 000.

The keyboard can be tuned within a range of -50 cents to +50 cents. Press [+/YES] and [-/NO] simultaneously will set the tune value to the default. The default value is 000.

Octave
The LCD displays the octave value. Use [+/YES]/[-/NO] or the dial to change the octave value. This function can change the right area of keyboard from - 1 to 1 octaves. Press [+/YES] and [-/NO] simultaneously will set the tune value to the default The default octave value is 000.

Beat
The LCD displays the beat value. LCD displays XXX Beat. Use [+]/[-] button or the dial to change the beat number. The beat value includes 0, 2~9, 9 types at all. The default beat number is 4.

The LCD displays the split point value. Use [+/YES]/[-/NO] or the dial to change the split point. Press any keys on keyboard can also be used to change the split point. Play the keybaord again after setting the new spilt point. The default split point is 027.

Pedal assign
The LCD displays the type of pedal. Use [+/YES]/[-/NO] button or the dial to change the assigned pedal It can be set as sustain pedal, soft pedal, start/stop pedal, and pedal tap or memory select pedal. The default pedal is the sustain pedal.

Custom style
You can create your style pattern by using the CUSTOM STYLE feature. The created pattern, which is two-measure length, is recalled anytime by pressing [CUSTOM STLE] button.

While the [RECORD] button is being held down, press the [CUSTOM STYLE] button. The LCD displays the CUSTOM and 000 with four beats flashing simultaneously.

Custom style
Clear a custom style
The two-recorded measures beats will be repeatedly played back so that you can record even a single instrument in several turns. If you want to erase an unnecessary instrument, you can clear it by using the following method. While the [ACCOMP/CLEAN] button is being held (CLEAR shown on the display), press the key corresponding to the instrument you want to clear.

Playing a custom style


Once your original pattern is recorded, you can select and use it in your performance. To use it, press the [CUSTOM STYLE] button to select it and press the [START/STOP] button.

Metronome
Press [METRONOME] button to turn on the metronome. TheBEAT lighten on LCD is voice metronome. Press [METRONOME] again to the beat metronome. To turn off the metronome mode, press [METRONOME] till no BEAT shown on LCD.

Note The metronome and style can play together. When the style is not playing, the beat plays as the setting beat. When the style is playing,the beat plays with the style by pressing [METRONOME] button.

Record waiting

Press [RECORD] button, flashing four beats on LCD simultaneously indicates the record waiting status. The voice, style, memory and recording tracks can be selected in this status. After selecting the recording track, the relevant LCD(s) will flash and indicate that the track is ready for recording.

Note Style 000 cannot be recorded. It will jump over the No.000. If it was style 000 when entering the recording waiting, the keyboard will shield ACCOMP track automatically. ACCOMP track and MELODY track can be recorded together and separately. But notice that 2 MELODY tracks cannot be recorded at the same time. If other tracks have the record data that are played while recording.

Record start
After setting all the settings in record waiting status and choosing the melody track, play the keyboard or press [START/STOP] button. It will start recording with the current tempo.

Note Once starting recording , the original data in the track will be overwritten. If there has data in the ACCOMP track, the tempo is played as the ACCOMP track tempo. If there has no data in the ACCOMP track, then the MELODY tempo will be one of the MELODY track's tempo when the record melody is playing. Song

Start/stop the song


Press [STYLE/VOICE/SONG button to song mode, it will play all the 60 songs one by one. After pressing [START/STOP], [+/YES]/[-/NO] or [MELODY OFF] button, it will play the current song repeatedly.

Use [+/YES]/[-/NO] button or the dial to select the song and change the song when the song is playing. Full name of the song will be scroll displayed on LCD and will be stopped at the abbreviated name.

The melody off flag lights on LCD.When the keyboard voice is automatically changed to the same voice as the melody track. customers can learn to play the songs by following the notes displayed on LCD. It can setup 4 groups O.T.S parameters to fit the current style including voice, style, and volume. Press [O.T.S] button, LCD displays the O.T.S flag. In this mode, the [M1]~[M4]button can load 4 groups of parameters for current style. LCD displays the current O.T.S number. [M5] and [M6] is no use in this mode.

Use [FUNCTION ] button to set the pedal assign. (See in FUNCTION SELECT)

Pedal sustain
If pedal assign is set as pedal sustain, it has the sustain effect when stepping the pedal. Turn off sustain effect when releasing the pedal.

Pedal soft

If pedal assign is set as pedal soft, it has the soft effect when stepping the pedal.

Pedal memory
If pedal assign is set as pedal mem, it will load the memory circularly when pressing the pedal each time.

Pedal start/stop
If pedal assign is set as pedal start/st, the pedal has the same function as [START/STOP] button.

Pedal tap
If pedal assign is set as pedal tap, the ACCOMP tempo will be set as last two beat tempo . If the tempo is larger (lower) than 280(30), the tempo should be set as 28030 .

Note If the time between two beats is over 3 seconds,the tap tempo is counted again.

Trouble shooting
PROBLEM
No keyboard sound and LCD display has not lightened up. No keyboard sound when LCD display is lightened up.

CAUSE
1. Power supply problem 2. Power is not turned on. 1. The volume level is set to the minimum level. 2. Headphones are inserted into the jack. 1. The volume level is set to the minimum level. 2.
