Programme in Advanced Marketing Management

Qualification Code: 71129 The future of most organisations depends on the manner in which they deal with their environment and the approach they follow in respect of their markets and competitors. A business needs to be proactive in dealing with these key factors. The aim of this programme is to focus on the strategic aspects of marketing so as to be able to deal successfully with the challenges that face businesses in these key areas. Duration of the programme Twelve months. Registration requirements A university degree, a relevant Technikon Diploma, a relevant certificate like the IMM, the Programme in Industrial Marketing, the Programme in Retail Management or the Programme in Marketing Management. Evaluation and examination Students will be assessed by means of two assignments per module completed during the course of the year. To qualify for the examination, students must obtain a minimum of 50% in at least one of the assignments per study module. A formal three-hour examination for each module will be written in January at official Unisa examination centres. To pass a module, a student must obtain a minimum of 50% in the examination. Certificate On successful completion of the four modules students will be awarded a certificate by the University at an official certificate ceremony. Credits and SAQA application

Registration, commencing date and fees Registration for this programme commences on 29 November 2010 -21 January 2011 and second semester from 20 June - 15 July 2011. The cost per module is R1 100 (including tutorial matter, tuition and examination fees but excluding the textbook). A minimum fee of R1 100 is payable on registration if only registered for one module. If registered for more than one module, then 50% of the total fees for the modules registered for must be paid registration. On receipt of your registration form and the required fees, the prescribed study material for modules 1 to 4, as well as a unique student number, will be dispatched to you.
