SAFETY RULES
DANGER: Possibility of personal injury. Personal injury can be caused by -48 V dc. Ensure battery power cables are not connected to office battery power. DANGER: Possibility of personal injury. Short circuiting, low-voltage, lowimpedance, dc circuits can cause severe arcing that can result in burns and/or eye damage. Remove rings, watches, and other metal jewelry before working with primary circuits. Exercise caution to avoid shorting power input terminals. (See Figure 13 on page 24 and Figure 19 on page 32). These connections are realized on M2 of the "Rack Lamps" unit placed on the TRU. Proceed as follows: Unscrew (1) the adapter (2) and withdraw the TRU towards the front side making it slide on the guides (3). The TRU can also be rotated to easily access the tagblock and the rear. Before to rotate the TRU, disconnect the Espall cable" from the Extension alarm" unit. Unsheath the cables and connect them to M2 making them pass through the slot (6) on the rear of the TRU. Insert the cables inside the hole (4) and fasten them with screws (5). Fasten the TRU to the rack.
If a station is provided with several racks on the same row, the racks can be paralleled (i.e. M2 of the first rack with the M2 of the second rack and so on). In this way the racks receive the power supply from the first rack of the row, while the remote alarms are sent to the headrow rack through only one link.

4.1.7.
(See Figure 13 on page 24, Figure 20 on page 34, Table 2 on page 35and Table 3 on page 35). Carry out the connections on M1 to M12 and b-, b+, a-, a+ of the "Box TRU" unit placed on the TRU. Proceed as follows: Unscrew the screws (1) from the adapter (2) and withdraw the TRU towards the front making it slide on the guides (3).The TRU can also be rotated to easily access the tagblocks and the rear. Before to rotate the TRU, disconnect the Espall cable" from the Extension alarm" unit. Unscrew the four screws (5) to remove the front cover (4). Unsheath the cables and connect them to the tagblock (6) making them pass through the holes (7) on the rear side of the TRU. Insert the cables into the holes (8) and fasten them with screws (9). Insert the fusebreakers (supplied together the equipment/assemblies) on the faston connector (10). Place again the front cover (4) by means of screws (5), fasten the fusebreakers to the front cover (4) by means of screws (11). Unscrew (13) the cover (12) from the rear side of the TRU. Unsheath the cables and connect them to the pins (14). Place again the cover (12) and make the cables pass into the relative holes (15). Fasten the TRU to the rack.
ATTENTION: If only one station battery is available, pin a- can be connected together with pin b- and pin a+ together with b+ by means of the supplied U-links. In this manner 12-outputs are available on the same batteryShould fusebreakers having a capacity higher than 20A be used, they have to be spaced as most as possible inside the box to reduce overtemperature. For the power supply voltage inputs can be used section cables of a max. of 25 mm2 while for the outputs can be used cables of 1 to 8 mm2.
